Oh how I miss the good times growing up and watching the big fight with my family be it Forman, Holyfield, Tyson or whoever the title match was that night it was a full fledged party when a fight was on these were good times. I hope to one day do the same with my children I wonder who will be the next Oscar Dela Hoya the next Tyson.
When I grew older I friended my landlord and used to watch Dela Hoya with him but he died almost exactly one year ago. He would tell me how he used to be a boxer and he would really get into the fights like I would we would be sitting there and both of us would throw a fake uppercut at the same time when we thought the person fighting should do it. Man oh man the good times. Recently I have gotten into MMA perhaps this will be what I watch with my kids one day. But still my point is I love Boxing what a heck of a sport and nothing makes it better than to place a small wager on it.
To me these sorts of competitions help define an import part of culture and growing up it brings back memories mostly good and I can only hope that boxing is not completely replaced by MMA though I do love them both.
