Manny Pacquiao -700 vs Joshua Clottey

I guess, if you think he has a shot to win.  People who think he has no shot (like me), wouldn't think +600 is too GREAT.

I don't think Clottey is great value..There is a reason he is +600

Pac is a huge Fav mainly because the public will and have obviously sided with him. if you know Boxing, then you know Clottey has a fighting chance. He is a very determined hard core boxer. Pac-Man is not unbeatable, by far. Personally i will be just enjoying this one.
If you really feel the need to place a wager on it, play $10 on Clottey and hope for a upset. If he wins your wife wont bitch about that $50 dollar pay-per view charge on next months bill.

 He has a great voice, that the real reason. Actually Money is the best right now. -600 is not a great investment. Do what you think is best.

i agree, boxing mls depend heavily on the public's perception of who'll win. not necessary who is the underdog. boxing is one sport where even the non sport bettors will tend to bet on.

and they mostly will base their decisions on name familiarity/ popularity.

Pac-Man to win by KO, TKO or DQ at -127 (Pinnacle Line) is the best bet here.  This is a BAD matchup for Clottley, he won't be able to handle Pac-Man's unorthodox fighting style.  Pac-Man will run circles around him in the ring and catch him on angles.  Pac-Man is a machine, he will pop Clottley so fast he won't be able to know what hit him.  Clottley needs to set up his punches, he's much slower than pac-man.  One thing Clottley does have is he can take a beating, but so can Pac-Man as witnessed in the Cotto fight, where Pac-Man took some heavy shots and came out unscathed.

Also, Clottley tends to be a bit of a dirty fighter, watch for some headbutts in the later rounds from Clottley as he gets frustrated.  No way does this go to the final bell, Clottley will get worn down, this ends somewhere between the 9th or 11th round.

I don't see where Manny took a beating from Cotto for ANY amount of time, yes Cotto was doing OKAY for 4 rounds but his punches had NO impact.

Clottey is a "straight ahead" boxer, unlike Morales, Marquez he doesn't circle his man he stands straight in front of you.

It's why Pacman won't fight Mosley/Mayweather they have "angles" and don't give you a clear shot like all these guys do.

Diaz,Hatton,Cotto.. not a lick of defense, aggressive fighters who "come at you in a straight line" ready to eat the left hand.

Clottey has millions of reasons to lay down for this fight, it's why he was brought here. He wasn't not here to WIN.

Freddie Roach will not accept fights that give Pac-man trouble (basically any pure technical boxer).

Doesn't it seem odd the fight is about 8-1 yet they make the KO almost even money?

I'm staying away from this fight, it reeks of ripoff as  does the under card.

I think the only person here who commented on how bad the under card is was DannoDanger.

 I mean Clottey is NO Mosley/Mayweather.. give people a decent under card.. seriously could have they put any worse?

David Diaz and Castillo... and Duddy.. (that one may be okay regardless of the opponent  because Duddy is a human punching.

For people who THINK Clottey is a great deal,  realize here's 8-1 for a reason... so  bet small if you do.

The people on Pac-man good luck on your PROP bets, because we know not many are laying 8-1.

Also look how GAUNT Clottey looked, let's hope he can put on his usual 20 pounds before the fight.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I love Bert Sugar.  Talking about Clottey:

I'm liking Pacquiao by UD at +150. Clottey has that peekaboo defense so I think he'll last the distance. I'm also thinking about playing no KDs or KOs at +250. Clottey doesn't pose a threat to win, but I think he's durable enough to last the distance.

UD should just read decision.
