Manny -160 was the opening line. Several $20,000 dollar wagers were made on Floyd. Line went down to -140 Manny.
Crazy indeed. Mayweather +140???
I knew they would open Manny as a fave, but not 8/5.

Pacquiao told The Associated Press last month he didn't think Mayweather wanted to fight him, and criticized the undefeated fighter for fighting too defensively and not trying to entertain fans.
His trainer, Freddie Roach, said after the Cotto fight that Pacquiao would be more than happy to fight Mayweather, but that Mayweather wasn't going to dictate the terms of the fight. Talks will likely be difficult, especially when it comes to what percentage of the revenues each fighter would receive.
The fight, though, has the possibility of becoming the richest ever and many in boxing assume that there is far too much money to be made for the fight not to happen.
"I think that's the fight the world wants to see," Roach said. "But if Floyd wants a 65-35 split (of the purse) he's not going to get it."
Assuming the fight can be made, it would likely take place next May. Las Vegas casinos would have the inside track on landing it, but there has been speculation that it could go somewhere like the new Dallas Cowboys stadium or even Yankee Stadium.
Any bets made on the fight will be refunded if it is not held by the end of 2010.
The only way this fight happens if floyd mayweather takes a 50/50 split. Pacman agrees to a 50/50 share but mayweather wants a 65-35 share. Is mayweather going make this fight happen or what?

Over in Europe its opened Mayweather 4/7 (-175) Pacman 5/4 (+125). As soon as the fight is announced I will throw 80% of my roll on Money Mayweather. That's a fantastic price still. Plus anything!! would have been a dream price. In fact if Vegas has plus anything when the fight as announced I would fly there and make the bet!!!!. I just can't imagine when the Fight being announced Floyd being better then -170. I think come fight night Floyd will go off at best -250.
If I was pricing this fight (and I know most of the board would disagree) I would have Floyd -600 Manny +350. While Manny would give Floyd trouble, I think most of the rounds would be like round 1 of the Cotto/Pacman fight. Floyd style wise is a nightmare matchup for Manny. Just look at the Marquez fights where Pacman was outboxed for many of those 24 rounds and think Floyd (a similar style but FAR superior fighter) then Marquez doing it even more impressively.
I pray for this fight, not only for the spectacle but the fact there is ALOT of money to be made on it..

I mean chances of winning that fight are slim thats what I mean. No Book would offer +350!. The point I am trying to make is that in my eyes Pacman doesn't have much of a chance to win this fight..The books have the odds alot closer then they should be IMO and thats great for me. It was the exact same when Floys fought Hatton. I could not believe the great odds I got on FMM. I pounded the win and the KO. Easy money. Floyd, I think will give the performane of his career. he will have a chip on his shoulder and he will have a point to prove. I don't think any welterweight the same size as Floyd can beat a motivated Mayweather..
People come fight time will post "Pound Pacman". DONT! Mayweather is not losing this fight.
