Well, February wasn't very pretty. Parlays were typically unkind to me. Dogs weren't biting very hard minus Camacho getting embarrassed, which means promoters are doing their job, and most of the "easy" plays (Gamboa under, Angulo under) were well juiced, meaning Vegas is doing its job. Chris Henry went insane, and lest I forget, the Judahs as a clan are garbage.
Moving on...
2.0* Roberto Guerrero - Daud Yordan U7.5 -165
If there was a prop on this fight ending via a Guerrero left uppercut, I'd hammer it. Yordan has nice punching skills, but going off of the Meza fight, he's more boxer-puncher than mover, his head stays much too stationary, he's open for counters, and when he's buzzed he puts up a weak earmuff defense that leaves his body wide open. All very bad signs for him come tomorrow night. 2009 should be a big year for the smaller Ghost, now under the GBP banner. He'll pick up right where he finished against Ruiz.
Leaning toward a house parlay for the HBO card. Ortiz is patient enough to handle Arnaoutis in a nip and tuck kind of fight. Kirkland will be walking through some major fire early on, but there is no way I'm betting against him and Ann's crazy asses right now. The U8.5 at -185 looks like the perfect number. Every square in the world will pound that, so I'm not sure yet if I want to play along. And I will be very surprised if Yordan gives Guerrero much of anything serious to think about.
Piccirillo is on his last legs, but the fact that my first thought seeing this line was "That dude who just got worked by Yuri Foreman is a 5-1 favorite???" tells me I probably ought to stay away from this one. Not a good sign.
Zertuche at +450 has to be worth a second look.
Good luck all.

Pretty much a wash last week. Chased value again hoping that Arnaoutis might test Ortiz. We all saw how that ended. Should have hammered Kirkland.
1.2* Bute by Decision -120
Lost amid the Marlon B. Wrong controversy was that Bute was pretty much pitching Andrade a shutout after ten rounds of that fight. Assuming the Romanian has retuned his conditioning program some following that debacle, there's no good reason he doesn't outclass Zuniga much the same way. I'm looking for Manny Steward's theory on "tall pressure vs. short pressure" to work my way tonight. Zuniga is a better puncher, and gives more angles, but he doesn't have Librado's height or extreme physicality. I'm thinking Bute 9-3 or 8-4 in a fight where he focuses quite a bit on pacing himself.
Leaning toward Khan, but won't be pressing hard to play that crapshoot if I don't cash tonight. Probably will play Afolabi small. One win over an ancient Big Truck and fighting at home doesn't justify Enzo laying that kind of chalk.
Of course, see Banks - Adamek for my luck betting on mentally fragile career sparring partners.
Good luck all.

Way too wrapped up in the tourney this week, probably shouldn't even put this in, but I can't resist.
1.0* Jones Jr. -680/ Flores -495/ Beltran Jr. -500 (-154)
Not buying into the love for Sheika. Roy has it in him to put on one last show, and if he could drop Calzaghe, he can probably stop Shieka. FNF looks like a showcase night, and if Flores loses, it will have been worth the unit just to see him floored, since Herrera won't win any other way.
BOL all!

LOL I see my Flores bet the same way Zumbize I got a ton on him...I expect him to win handily. But if I lose the money, at least I will get to see B.J. KO'ed. Pampered Bitch Flores.

I've been AWOL the last two weeks, but I see they've been profitable for you Zumbize. Very nice calls last week. Was out of town last week and just have had too much to do this weekend to really get a good feel for anything. Still managed to lose money though; lol, two parlays were losers courtesy of Enzo and Gomez surviving today. Just got some action down on the Jones fight though, it looks to me like Sheika has been training on doughnuts. I think he goes for broke and shocks Roy or passes out in seven.
2.4 units on fight won't go (-160) 1.3 units on under 10.5 rounds (-130) .50 units on Sheika ITD (+670)

Great to see you back in FB! I toyed for a second with a Roy UD12 play, but my prop bets have been cold lately. (Ef tu, Bute...) Nice hit on the ITD plays.
That bad huh ghost? Lmfao... I figured that could happen.
I guess seeing Flores on his ass waits another day.
