How can u not take this fight at decision, Floyd is much quicker and has become set as a 'defender' i dont see either giving each other a serious enough blow to have this be called a TKO.

I think the reason why it seems 'trappy' is so the books dont scare off the large amount of English backers.  Watching Floyd in Vegas there always seems to be an "edge" for him.  I have bet him about his last 5 fights and honestly i thought a couple of the fights could have gone either way- although the always fresher looking Mayweather seems like he didnt even fight and i think the judges are always on pretty boy's back.

I'd be surprised if FM loses a single round. 

This fight is interesting but it will be FM all night long.

FM is way to quick and elusive for RH..

 

RH is a great fighter , but FM is a legend in the making and this fight will cement his place as one of the all-time greats........

He lost 5 rounds against DLH, and Hatton's better than DLH right now.  I don't know how you can objectively say that Mayweather won't lose a single round.  Hatton's quicker and more skilled than you're giving him credit for.  Mayweather reacts to his opponents, so he will have to adjust to Hatton's style at the beginning of the fight; as a result, Hatton likely takes a few rounds then.  I'm not saying that Hatton wins the fight, but you're deluding yourself if you really believe that Hatton gets swept in this one.

I agree A2C.  I think I read somewhere a while back that someone had compared this fight to Gatti-Mayweather with just slightly more success for Hatton then Gatti had.  I just laughed.

Like you said, DLH won rounds against PBF with the pressure that he put on.  Heck, he won the fight on one judges card.  What will the judges think about the more consisted pressure that Hatton will put on.  I'm not saying that Hatton wins either, but this is not near as lopsided as a lot of people think and I don't even like Hatton as a fighter all that much.  I just hope a Hatton cut doesn't come into play.  I like the new 24/7 episodes, Floyd is his usual brat-like villain self, but Hatton is a lot more entertaining than DLH.  I admire what Floyd has been able to do in the ring, but I can't stand the guy

Personally, I believe Hatton gets to Floyd early and gets him in serious trouble.  But, he won't finish, and then the fight will come down to the judges.
 
In Vegas, Floyd has the judges in his back pocket, and all we need is a bunch of controvery to generate a HUGE PAYDAY RE-MATCH.  Happens all the fckuing time in boxing and will happen again.

Guys PBF workout ethics are insane. Have any of you been watching the 24/7 series on HBO with these guys. Hatton doesn't have a chance. PBF decision +104 is a great great pick. PFB doesn't pack that much into a punch and Hatton is a slugger who is not going to go down, in fear of his countrymen hating him. PBF will clearly win this fight. 12 round decider to keep the fans happy and make more Golden Boy fights possible in the future just like Mayweather vs. Oscar. GL

Lol. The line wouldn't be so super high if that was true. PBF is quick my friend and Hatton won't be able to keep his eyes in one place. Hatton probably does pack a heavy punch, but the question is will he be able to get them off with PBF quickness and agility.

Lopes,I only ever watch Hattons fights cause hes from near by,I know fuck all about boxing but I can tell you this fight isnt going to be pretty,its gonna be no slugging match.Ricky will be inside mauling away and working under the ponces ribcage.Theyll be no standing there trading blows,its a style mis-match,Ricky isnt gonna stand back and let ponceboy pick him off,he`ll be inside spoiling.

Wont be a pretty sight.

If you are gonna bet PBF I would wait till the day of the fight.
Theres around 20k English coming over,some with tickets,some watching telecasts in the halls.Rickys price is gonna see a lot of action and PBF price should drift a little.

hatton is better than de la hoya....  what are you smoking.  who has hatton beat ??  NOBODY   his last fight the guy was washed up.  ricky is way overrated.  thats why mayweather came out of retirement to make some EASY MONEY $$$    this brit doesn't even spar against a person.  just uses a bag.   hatton 2 fights ago almost got Knocked out.

Hatton probably could beat de la hoya. Mayweather took it easy on Oscar to make money and T.V people happy. Golden Boy is going to cash in big on another fight that PBF will win by decision. PBF could have killed Oscar and he will not take it lightly on Hatton, but will drag the fight out for 12 rounds.

PBF 12 round decision best = best pick.

Am down on Hatton +9.5 -115 to win 500 smacks.
 
But now I am concerned...........very concerned, in fact, that Hatton is such a publicky play.
 
Many more times than not, when the public piles on the dog, it is over for the dog, for sure.
 
The points handicap is now sitting at 8 -115, and I think I am going to reduce exposure a little and hope and pray for a middle.
 
Just can't feel good being on the same side as a public play underdog.

We all know Floyd Mayweather has the superior speed and talent in this fight but does he have the heart? Every fighter that Mayweather has faced tried to pressure him but eventually give up or get tired. Oscar and Judah both had success the first 6 rounds against Mayweather. Out of all Mayweather's opponents, Hatton is most similiar to Jose Luis Castillo. Castillo nearly defeated Mayweather but being effective and aggressive. Many ringside writers gave the bout to Castillo but Mayweather had escaped with the W that night. If Hatton can fight for 3 minutes of every round, I think the fight will come down to the 12th round. Hatton will definitely get tagged but I think he will throw so many punches that he will win a lot of the close rounds. Hatton is not slow like Baldomir and he is probably even faster than Castillo. Hatton will punch at all angles and will put the pressure on Floyd. I'm not sure if the HBO 24/7 series has influenced me but I'm going to have to say that Hatton gives Mayweather his first loss. I expect to see a rematch between these two.
