    https://sports.yahoo.com/news/manny-pacquiao-floyd-mayweather-55-45-financial-split-superfight.html

if this article is true then mayweather really has no excuses for not making this fight. Any demands he makes at this point, reasonable or otherwise, will be looked at as cowardice and will forever tarnish his legacy. If he doesn't get his ass arrested I think this fight may actually finally happen

No one gives a fuck about sugar Ray Robinson and Charley Burley. Pacman vs. Mayweather would be the fight of my lifetime. The highest grossing fight of ALL TIME!

Oh my god you are a gullible fucking moron. First, it was drug tests, retirement, bob arum, no 50-50, he doesn’t need manny, says people are racist towards him.

Now he says he doesn’t want to end up disabled cuz of the pounding manny would give him, cuz he believes manny is on steroids and fears for his health and his families well being.

That his future health and his family are more important to him than being labeled a coward. What else has to be said about this subject? I’ve never seen a coward win a fight EVER! This fight will NEVER happen!

hey box, maybe you don't care about robinson and burley, real boxing fans do and all fighters do, you are obviuosly neither one so shut the fuck up,   mayweathers legacy is in tact regardless, can you not see by watching these 2 that floyd is better,  pacquiao has problems with marquez's boxing skills, floyd is bigger, stronger, faster, smarter and a much better boxer than marquez,  you stupid fuck,  this one will happen, but even if it does not mayweather will go down as one of the top 25 or 30 fighters ever, it's much better for manny if it does not happen as all fighters or real fans know that floyd is better,  to call a man who has fought most every great fighter of his era a coward  is the most rediculas thing that I have ever heard, so shut the fuck up, bitch,   you are some box mainstream fan that has most likely never laced them up in your life, so go and lie down for a long time and when you wake up, try to become an expert at something else.

demanding a drug test is not a bad thing, it's good. second floyd deserves more money, ya he retired for a period of time and it was not because he was affraid of the smaller pacquiao and yes he hates bob arum,  have you ever tried doing business with someone you hate?  It is not the easiest thing,  he is not negotiation with manny, he negotiates with arum and that is a hard thing to do when the two do not get along,  you are on the outside looking in,  I am on the inside looking out, things are not always as the media depicts them, floyd wants the fight and it will happen on his terms, at this point floyd dictates the terms of all his fights, just as roy jones did, ray leonard did, ray robinson, this does not mean that he is scared it just means he is trying to do business with a man he despises and does not want to give an inch,

I agree that Mayweather is the superior boxer and think he would win the fight. But at this point it seems Manny has done everything he can to make the fight happen, and if it doesn't happen all many fans will remember is that mayweather ducked pacquiao. if he wants to go down as one of the best of all time there is no excuse for not fighting the next best of his era

Mayweather is not much of a risk taker. He takes fights that are basically over before they finish signing the contracts. The only thing I don't like about Mayweather is the fact he has all the skills and his boxing IQ is above the rest, therefore not fighting the best fighters at their best prime time is a shame. I believe Mayweather would defeat them all, but that would involve risks he won't take.
Also, I keep reading on this forum about Mayweather fighting Cotto when Cotto was at his worst. What? He finally learned defensive skills, also developed in the ring adjustments, and he fought 4 of the most physically and mentally damaging fights out of a top 10 list in the past decade, but he did this in a time frame of 2 years. Any other fighter would be wrecked after any of these, especially two. Mosley was a 12 round war, Margarito was a plaster filled cheater that could have killed Cotto after 10 full rounds only to be stopped right after, then Clottey had a hurt knee but Cotto had a major gash and couldn't see properly in round 3 and winning a controversial 12 round split decision, and then he was destroyed by Manny to be stopped in the 12th round.
So after 47 rounds of pure destruction, people assumed he is finished, only to be wrong and he comes back better than ever. The Mayweather fight he did his very best but was up against a better, faster, stronger, and bigger guy. Mayweather clearly won, but it was clear that Cotto is far from done!

BTW: Mayweather vs Pacquiao... isn't Manny fighting Marquez again on December 8th? Why do people keep bring up a fight for nearly 5 years now only to hold your breath when you aren't under water! LOL!

As for Sugar Ray Robinson... most people not only talk him about him as he is clearly ranked most people's #1 fighter lbs-for-lbs but another factor remains. When comparing fights and fighters, talking about Robinson is used as he is considered the pinnacle, and using him as a guideline as to being the best. People have talked about Mayweather vs Pacquiao for years and years now, and it is clear it won't happen anytime when either fighter is anywhere near their physical prime anymore. So talking about them both fighting is as redundant as people talking about real fights that did happen during great fighter's primes!!!! THE NAIL IS IN THE COFFIN!

All I'm saying is that I think he is the better fighter and that he would win and IF this fight doesn't happen there really can be no explanation besides Mayweather not wanting to fight him.

Mayweather is the much superior fighter and now that both fighters have shown a minor decreases in physical ability, it comes down to the better boxer. Mayweather is one of the best analytical fighters ever and the best today. He has waited for Manny to decline in physical stature even at his own as Manny was the fighter who relied on physical abilities and less on strategy and ring tactics, also Floyd has been taught proper fundamentals as soon as he could walk.
Floyd's concern was Manny with short arms being able to throw fast and hard combinations inside, but Manny has not been able to damage fighter who calculate and bring boxing skills in the ring and much less brawling skills.
Although Manny got robbed against Bradley, it didn't hurt his career and allowed Bradley to stay undefeated. Now this allows Manny vs Juan IV and Juan will win again and maybe get the decision only to make it go another time. They can hype up undefeated vs undefeated in Mayweather vs Bradley. That fight would be much better to watch than Manny vs Floyd for a few reasons. Floyd will show Manny more respect if they fought, and not allow Manny inside fighting and go one to win an easy twelve round decision. Floyd won't have much respect for Bradley and even though he rarely has ever felt the need to impress the crowd inside the ring by trying to KO an opponent. This time I feel Floyd will test the waters and realize what most assume about Bradley's punching power and take him out. This will be the first bout you will see Mayweather stalking his opponent the majority of the time instead of other fighters coming at Floyd.
Also, a fighter being scared and concerned are much different. Floyd see's the advantages and dis-advantages and apparently has seen something about Manny that didn't fit his quota for easy fights. Most likely the range of short burst of punches close inside.
Does anyone really think Floyd has nightmares of Manny or is truly scared, or do they feel he doesn't like the match-up? A major difference in the two concepts.
Mike Tyson during his early years before and first year or so as champ said he use to get overwhelming fear and anxiety to the point of a breakdown. He said in an interview it is like the fear of flying, once the plane takes off, fear no longer has any positive value. Similar to the opening bell he use to charge in a rage to get the fight going and get that anxiety released.
So, before Tyson was well known and fighting some experienced veterans, he stated how the veterans were so relaxed and he felt like leaving the ring if they didn't start the fight right away. Somehow if that fact is true, he seemed to do very well when he was scared. A few years later, he became feared like Sonny Liston, Sam Langford and Charley Burley.

gollum...I hope one day they make this fight. But to me it got to the ho hum point. There have been some pretty good fights lately and really as time goes on the luster has worn off some. I could care less. I think Floyd thinks boxing needs him and he can manipulate everyone and everything. His window is getting smaller as time goes on. I think he already waited to long but the boxing public will still buy it. Pac man may lose to Marquez. Then what? Anyway...GL and I really like your avatar

This. Both guys are starting to be eclipsed by new stars, imo. I would rather watch Martinez fight (even though he is actually older than both of them) than either of these two. I personally don't like Andre Ward's style, but he is starting to be a "must see" fighter. Donaire and Gamboa are on that level of skill too.
