Anyone watching that? I personally find it outstandingly entertaining. Mayweather cracks me up. Probably one of the best marketing ideas for a payperview fight.

he's no alias, I can vouch for this one. . .  he's actually the only Nole fan I'd put in the friend category. . . i turned him onto the site a while ago.  Are you going to Vegas for the fight?  I think I remember you posting that a while ago. . .  I just booked my plane ticket today

Didn't want to come off as a jerk; it's just will all the a-holes running around here lately and his recent joining date, i guess I made an inaccurate assumption.  My appologies to KSoze ( great movie by the way)
 
Not gonna make it out to the desert..some stuff came up for the following Monday, and unfortuanately I need for than 24 hours to recover from a Vegas weekend

and believe me. . .  I know where you're coming from.  I'm SO tired of all the SAF's running around. Ever since that damn Wagerline merger. . . Hard to realize that just four months ago we didn't have to deal with all the SAF's, and we could bet on Pinnacle. . .  Ah, the good old days. . .
 
Side note, I think they initially said that they were going to air four of these shows, but they started it 3 Sundays before the fight. . .  when are they going to air the fourth since the fight will be on the Saturday????  Did I misread that? Are they going to have an "after" episode?  That could be interesting. . .

The are airing the final episode on Thursday night of fight week at the normal 10:30 time slot.  I have enjoyed it so far, my only complaint would be that they need an interpreter for Floyd Sr. and Roger, because they are struggling.  I think this show is going to influence a lot of late Oscar money on the fight.  Freddie Roach is the man and this show has only added to my respect for the guy, a classy dude for sure.

Freaking perfect. I fly out for Vegas on Friday so I can watch.  Fullbrights, there's a flight leaving Friday, coming back Tuesday for something like $230 out of GSP. . .  STELLAR deal out of that airport if you've contemplated going. That pretty much made it where I couldn't say no.

I just can't bring myself to go out to Vegas and not go to the fight itself; if I make the trek I want to be in the arena.  Tickets are going to be rediculous (gotta expect to pay 3-4 G's at a minimum),  I even read today where they are scalping closed circuit tickets at the MGM Grand for $250.I   am going to pass and in all likelihood head to Memphis for the Taylor/Spinks fight with Miranda/Pavlik under it on May 19th.  I usually try to go to at least one big card a year, but I haven't been to anything big since Jones-Tarver III in Tampa.  I actually have never been to a fight in Vegas, but I have been to MSG and AC.

So I will be watching the fight with the wife and a bunch of friends.  I wish they could have at least put one decent fight on the undercard.

I find this mucho promo'ed very hyped fight, to be very odd for what I kinda expect to be a 1 sidded affair. IF an aging ODLH could not get of the way of an aging B.Hops, he's gonna do what to a nearly in his combined Experience and Physical prime FMayJr.??? I mean...who has ODLH beaten since 2003 (FS really won that fight, FV was very damaged goods). I view this one as pretty well anticlimatic. Two HUGE HOF all-time quality names, w/ the associated HUGE sellesmanship & hype, for all of that for what will not be that great of a fight. I'm already on FMayJr. in one 5 unit closing parlay. I may get a little more of a taste of the same as this overHyped bout draws closer. I hope you are correct Fbs, as I've figgued all along that people would chase ODLH as this PPV approaches, which should boost any FMayJr. ROI that I may attempt to tap again.

Damn Bigeiii. . .  I sure hope you're right, because that's how I see it too.  I already noticed this morning (I haven't been checking that often lately) that the line is at -185 now (sportsbook.com). . . Pinnacle has it at -191, so that would tell me that the public is starting to come in hard on DLH, because we all know SB is MUCH more a public book than Pinny. . .  That just makes me feel more warm and fuzzy.

OK - Not an alias but I understand seeing what goes on around here. Big boxing/football fan/enthusiast.
I agree with the whole interpreter thing with the Floyd's. Freaking hysterical. Mayweather has scared me for a while. It really took the Gotti fight for me to appreciate him though. I wont lie, I read that fight ALL wrong. Looking back... I just don't get where I was coming from =)
 
The promotion/hype is astronomical. It doesn't change what I have thought about this fight sense its announcement - that being 3-4 years ago, this would have been THE fight. My ONLY concern with PBF is the hand. And heck, if he can tap him all the way to the 12th round it would just seem to me that ODH would be 2-3 steps behind him.
 
But aside from all of that... this show, for nothing else, is probably the single handed best idea PRE fight marketing. Its on HBO, the fight is an HBO PPV, its 4 weeks of it. Beautiful!

FYI, the price is falling already,  Mayweather is now -165 at Sportsbook.

Yeah, I just caught that a couple hours ago. . . That's a beautiful thing. . .  it's fallen $35 bucks in about 5-6 days.
 
I think I'm going to send a thank you note to HBO for that 24/7 series.  Great entertainment, and win or lose, I'm paying a MUCH cheaper cost than I should on Mayweather because of it.

Yeah, like I said earlier in the thread, 24/7 is going to bring a bunch of money in on DLH.  The show wants you to believe that this fight is as even as they come and DLH is about to beat the evil Mayweather.

How do you like how Mayweather trains at any time of the night?

Mayweather doesn't mind playing the villain at all as he said in the show.  It just means more buys and more money, it was the same case with the Gatti fight.  He went way overboard with the "Real recognizes Real" angle about his friendship with 50 Cent, Floyd is about as gangster as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

By the way, I read today that 50 is going to be walking in with Floyd and rapping his new song for the intro music.

That's good stuff about 50. . .  Would you expect anything less at this point?  This fight has seemed to be the biggest hyped up event that I can remember. . .  I can't wait to get to Vegas just to hear the buzz.
 
About him training at all times of the night, the funniest thing to me was when they were showing Floyd watching the premiere of the first episode, his reaction to it, and then telling everyone to get the running gear on, and then cranked out a long run. I think training at all odd times of the night is a great plan, especially since that's when he's going to be fighting anyways.  If you're going to be fighting late at night, mine as well get your body used to it. . .

I got a problem with the whole Sr. thing too. If anyone knows DLH its Sr. With him in the camp for Mayweather has got to be an advantage.
 
Anyone else notice on the 24/7 show Sr. sounded like he was trying to look paternal with him not training DLH for the fight. When in reality, he just wanted alot more money to do it. Actually stating at one time "I know flaws in my sons game and can exploit them. If he wants my help, 2 million is the number" or something to that effect. Then at the beginning of the second show DLH said he decided Sr. wasnt going to be there for him on the fight and went with Roach.
 
BTW... Roach is the man. There are only a few trainers worth their salt out there and this man seems to be top echelon for sure.

I am pounding Mayweather...hoping that bigeii is right and waiting for the line to drop some but I would take Floyd up to -200 in the case that we were way off. I also like this to go over 11.5 Rounds. BOL to all.

I kinda like the +number on the FMayJr. outcome Prop. B/c while I'm solid on FMayJr. winning, I doubt he can stop ODLH. But if I had to play ODLH, that ODLH+5o5 outcome stoppage Prop is a nice payday. Just a little food for thought for those of you that are very sure you've got the winning side nailed down tight.

Fifty chills with mad cops and hasnt put out good records for prob 4 years.Floyde Rocks Bank Rolls.Oscar owns a Bank a real Bank. Heard Floydes coming out to the Song Candy shop.
