Orlando Salido (+120) vs Juan Manuel Lopez (-150)
Lopez's only career loss was last year to Salido. He was down in the 5th, and in the 8th he was stopped on his feet. The fight was in Puerto Rico, the only difference is it now in San Juan not Bayamon.

The first fight I did not handicap myself, but a friend (ex-partner with group handicapping and line setting) had me bet Salido as a huge dog, but he said he watch the Gamboa fight that Salido had prior and he would be at his best. I took his advice and got a nice payday for a fight I had no intention on betting. Back to business at hand, their first bout was a lot of holding and hitting, off balance punching with no defense, and a sloppy looking bout. If you watch the bout, Lopez's punches were just very sloppy, and Salido was crisp even though he was missing many shots as well. The difference was when they did connect, Lopez never hurt Salido, but Salido hurt Lopez. My question is with Lopez: Was he having weight, or any physical problems prior to the fight I was unaware of? Mainly as I said, it was a bout I didn't breakdown myself. Therefore plenty of information could have been available that I'm still not aware of. Any thoughts? If I recall, Lopez was anywhere from -1200 to -2000 most places with Salido at +600 (or +800), but it was limited maximum because it was in Puerto Rico. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
P.S.: I will make a Martinez-Macklin Thread after the Lopez fight as it will be fought on St.Paddy's Day! I found some props and Martinez to win by decision if +220. Any thoughts? Sergio's last two KOs were by Euro fighters as is Macklin but he is a tough guy and does enough to keep out of danger many times. I'll stick to Lopez for now, but wondering how people feel regarding that prop I mentioned.

I thought the first fight was absolutely dominated by salido. He had all the answers. After getting some bad decisions Salido came up against an overconfident Lopez. The way he rocked Lopez over and over I can't see him not doing it again. It wasn't a fluke. Salido is a tough cookie that can crack. Salido will be just as hungry to keep the belt now that he has it. I'm looking forward to this fight....GL
