Pascal-Hopkins In Fight Thread

You think after this performance this warrants a Bute fight? If anything since Bute has a long term contract with showtime now, he would fight Hopkins, no one can say Hopkins didn't look better tonight.. and at his age he deserves a shot at Bute more than Pascal does.

Win lose Draw Hopkins won the crowd over and earned himself another fight in a surprising decent offensive effort.

That being said Bute is no Pascal, I vote for Hopkins/Bute  or a rematch but don't see that happening.

I think Pascal is contractually obligated to fight Dawson next (rematch), assuming Dawson wants to.

Bute is a much tougher fight for Bernard than Pascal is.

Rzagza yes he is, but I don't see Pascal doing a rematch with Hopkins, once Hopkins figured him out.. it was a pretty easy fight from round 4 on.

Weird Pascal didn't do much offensively and was dead tired.

Hopkins wants belts if Pascal won't rematch then why not Bute?

Danno I don't think Dawson will head back to Canada for a rematch.

After Pascal being given a draw in his hometown and everyone seeing his stamina issues and conditioning plus lack of defense.

Bernard was destroying him to the body he couldn't miss, almost as if Pascal was happy to just finish.

Never seen a fighter just lose his stamina so quickly, after the 4th round he was lethargic.

I see why Froch beat Pascal.  Froch looks great against guys like Pascal and Abraham who only punch for 1 minute a round.

Pascal throw alot of punches in the Froch fight. The combination of extra weight training and Hopkins' liver shots had Pascal looking dead tired after 4 slow rounds.

Rzagaz you are incorrect.  ML Boxing wagers at 5dimes are cancelled win there is a draw.  No bet.

I had both guys to win by DEC.  I lost both sides.  Naturally, not the first time I've lost both sides of a DEC wager when the 30-1 draw has come in.  I was under impression that a moneyline wager is also a loss since the draw outcome is also a betting option.

From what Im told the draw is a loss on Sportsbook.com and Sportsinteraction.com but a push on 5Dimes.

IMO Bute would beat both PAscal and Hopkins

Hopkins won every round after the 3rd basically.

I did.===== I had Pascal winning by a point because of the 2 knock downs. Everyone scores the fight differently. You are certainly entitled to your opinion,

A Draw is a push/cancel on 5dimes if you bet  regular. I mean no prop wager.

Here's an example. 5 dimes


101 Devon Alexander
+185 o9½ -500     

102 Timothy Bradley -225 

Now see there is NO option for a draw, so a draw would be a refund of money.

Sports Interaction calls it a loss because they include the "3rd option of a draw"

Here's an example:

WBC/WBO Light Welterweight Title Fight @ Silverdome, Pontiac, Michigan from sports interaction-

  • Timothy Bradley   -250
  • Draw   +2000
  • Devon Alexander   +175

See 3 options listed? In this case a draw is a loss unless you pick a draw it's a loss. I learned this the hard way many years ago on the Holyfield/Lewis fight :)

If your wager looks like a soccer wager, hence 3 options yes your bet is a LOSS but if you only have 2 options it's a push/cancel.
