FRIDAY A.M. UPDATE: Sources on site at Auburn Hills tell me that Damian Fuller, after initially weighing in at 143 pounds, got down to the match weight of 135 at an early evening weigh-in (agreed to by all parties) on Thursday. Harris, originally a pound over, came in at 134 1/2 at the later weigh-in. Promoter Joe Donofrio said from Auburn Hills today that the bout is still a 12-rounder for the vacant USBA lightweight title. Please see last paragraph for fresh thoughts on the prediction.

I never really cared for the guy's articles.  First of all, he has both fighters listed at -105, which is obviously not a real line.  Secondly, he ALWAYS picks the favorites to win.

This Oquendo-Baranza fight is quite a scrap on Telefutura now, Baranza rocked Oquendo in the 4th.

The Telefutura announcers scored it for Oquendo 97-93 I believe.  It was a good scrap from what I saw. I wasn't watching it that closely but I would give it to Oquendo by a slim margin.  Baranza had an Oscar winning performance for a low blow around the 5th or 6th, he was rolling around on the mat like he was on fire for over a minute.

Here comes the scores....UD for Oquendo.  They read the scores pretty fast so I didn't catch them.

I'll keep tabs on the Smith-Garcia fight also if anyone is interested.  I made a small play on the draw and Smith +8.5 points.

1-1 through 2 in my book.  Fight being fought at close quarter, headbutts are a possibility.  Uppercuts are the name of the game from both fighters right now.

Sorry guys, Covers was down for the longest time for me so I couldn't keep it updated.  UD for Garcia; 98-92, 97-93,  97-93.  I had it 96-94 Garcia, but I guess the wider scores are to be expected in Puerto Rico.  Smith was the more aggressive fighter constantly coming forward so I thought he won a few rounds on volume/effective aggressiveness, but Garcia picked him off with a lot of clean shots coming in.  This really was a winnable fight for Smith, he could have made this super tight if he wouldn't have played into Garcia's game plan.  Wasted money there, come on Sanders and the under tomorrow.

If anyone could post a Sanders-Holm result when they find out it would be much appreciated.  Who would have thought twenty years ago that boxing bettors would be awaiting the results of a chick fight?

Good luck, I thought about it.  The only thing that scared me off was that Viloria looked pretty good early against Larios before he was caught.  They took away Telemundo on our cable system or I would keep you updated.  It's weird they added Telefutura and took away Telemundo making it part of a hispanic channel package that you can buy, I guess the Hispanic population in my area is only allowed one native channel without popping for some extra bucks.
