Well 2008 didn't end like I wanted with Karmazin-McKart going over, but no regrets, really liked the reasoning for the large risk to try to finish the year with a bang. I ended the year up a whopping .08 of a unit, yes sir that is correct; I won $8 and the opportunity to buy a super sized Wendy's combo plus a frosty. Lol, at least I avoided my first losing year betting boxing. Definitely gained a lot of ground back at the end of the year after being in the hole for most of it. Hopefully that bodes well for the new year.
Don't know about most of you guys, as much as love betting and watching boxing it was nice to have a break and get refreshed for some great action coming up.
Slow weekend before the boxing schedule begins to kick into gear. Looks like I will only be on the under of the Gamboa fight as of now. I definitely don't like making a habit of making large plays on 5.5 round under giving up 2-1 chalk, but I think this situation calls for it. I thought Gonzalez looked pretty bad against the mediocre Lock from the get go and really struggled with Lock's better hand speed and quickness. Not a good thing at all when you are going up against ultra fast Gamboa who doesn't fight like he is trying to go rounds and get some work in. I don't think Gamboa bucks that trend in this one. In addition, I guess it also covers Speedy landing a hail mary to Gamboa's suspect chin; don't think that will happen though. Was thinking about playing Ballsy (I wonder if that's how it pronounced) against Inkin, but I have never seen him. Seems like a good many people like him based on the line movement. Inkin is skilled, but definitely not a world beater. The reason I liked Balzsay initially is Sdunek in his corner, plus the fact that Universum promotes both and the fight really doesn't make sense to make in Inkin's first defense unless they want the title to switch hands. Feedback from anyone who has seen Balzsay would be greatly appreciated.
Played the Gamboa under at thegreek.... 5 units on under 5.5 rounds (-200) in Gamboa-Gonzalez

For a little bit of footage of Balzsay take a look on youtube. It's hard to tell how good he is because he hasn't fought very good competition. Inkin has certainly fought better guys. However when I watched Balzsay on youtube he looked like he had quite a bit quicker hands and feet than Inkin. Quite a bit more talent overall.

Fullbrights, is it easy to get money into and out of TheGreek? I'm with beted, and they never have any fights. The only one listed now on there is Mosley/Margarito. Thanks.

Can't speak for putting money in because it's been a couple of years since I needed to do that and that was before a lot of the US bans. I echo the sentiments of MWF2 though on the payouts; can't beat how fast they are; top notch. I am sure if you give customer service a call they will work with you on getting money in. Thegreek is an A+ book IMO.

Thanks for the input. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I am going to check out the youtube footage tonight. Why the name change to mayweather fan the sequel?

I think I had issues logging on as Mayweather1 before so used this name. I tried to login today and couldn't remember 1 name but remembered this 1. LOL.

Well that's the way to start off 2009 with a bang. Speedy was content to be a heavy bag and Gamboa was intent on letting him hang on. I really thought watching the fight that Gamboa's early body work would have done more damage to what looked like a soft midsection.
5 units on under 5.5 rounds (-200) in Gamboa-Gonzalez
I had to pull the trigger on Balls. Watched some of footage last night, I think the fight is made for him to be in a good position to win and I think he has the tools to do it.Thanks for the input sequel.
2.75 units on Balls (+110) vs Inkin
.50 of a unit to win 5.67 Balzsay (+120) Erdei (-600) Berto (-565) Marg ITD (-102) Ngoudjo (-150) Vic D (-420)

Going to the scorecards in Germany and its a UD....for Balzay ! Congrats ! and thanks... I followed !
Cheers man. Glad you were on it also. My internet was acting up yesterday so I couldn't tune into watch it on streamtv like I had planned. From the round by round that I read at esb it sounds like the decision was right on the money and that it was a pretty entertaining fight. I am going to try and track it down today on the net. Eases the blow from the Gamboa under disaster. Also saw that Yuri didn't give Erdei much trouble. When will he finally step up his opposition; he is giving Ottke a run for his money.

Lost 1.98 units for the week.

TheGreek imposes (for me anyway) a $250 USD MAXIMUM for deposits per month. I think thats unreasonable.
That is unreasonable and very strange. Why would they limit deposits for an entire month to that? Glad I haven't had to put any money in, that is ridiculous. Is there another funding method you can use to get more than that in? I've heard of some outrageous limit drops on wagers, but never such a low total on deposits per month.

Happy New Year FB. Saw you were ailing in another post. Hope you're all good by now.
What a shite performance from Gamboa last Friday. I had read something where he was talking about slowing the pace down and taking a tactical approach to his fights. Well, his defense still obviously sucks as evidence by his hands being down the entire fight - even after the knockdown. His trainer mentioned something about wanting him to still get knockouts, but just not as fast as he's been doing. I guess I got caught up in the hype surrounding him as much as anyone else and while I still have high hopes for the guy, I'd say he's treading on thin ice these days as he steps up to higher competition. We'll see what happens.
Great call on Balls. I almost logged on and posted that one myself. Still haven't seen it, but it sounds like he came on strong in the latter half of the fight, despite getting a little banged up early on in the proceedings. Be back tomorrow with some plays for this weekend. Here's to a great 2009.

Wait a minute Fullbrights, you have often quoted The greek sportsbook.
If you really dealt with them, wouldn't you know about the max deposit limit per month?
You say, “Glad I haven't had to put any money in, that is ridiculous."
What? They let you play without any money? Wow, wish I was that liked.
Classic stuff man. Like I said above in my response to Danno, I haven't had to put money into thegreek in a couple of years...... that's usually what happens if you are winning and not losing; there is not a need to deposit to more funds. What do you not understand about that, lol? Like I told him I couldn't really comment on getting money in post the period where a lot of the anti-US stuff started happening at the books because I haven't had to deposit any there or add to the funds I had in. Like I also said, I can comment on withdrawals though as I have taken out a bit here and there; they are lightning fast.
I'm sorry that I haven't needed to deposit like yourself, hopefully I don't ever need to brush up on the rules for deposits and continue to build the roll I have.
Read the thread again and realize what you are saying before you post. Thanks for giving Danno the perspective of a frequent depositor. Nice try man.

Yeah man, feeling a lot better. Busy with work this week, so I needed to be. I'm with you tonight on Quintero, Casal blows. Casal is one of those fighters that is average in about every aspect and that usually doesn't translate into much; I think it's definitely worth a play.

It's all right you didn't have to respond. You really should read an entire thread before trying to call someone out for something that was already in black and white. Maybe next time.
Good luck on Berto, I think he really announces his presence as a player at 147 when he does what Mosley and Hatton didn't come close to doing and stops Collazo.

1) What are you getting flustered about? I hope I haven't offended you with my pun.
2) I can't see where you asked me a question
3) I'm not posting on two forums here!
4) As for Berto's luck... Apparently so. Gosh, too close.
I don't really understand what you are lost on. You tried to post above in an effort to show me up as if I don't play at thegreek or something. I really don't know what you were trying to accomplish seeing as how if you would have read the thread you would have known what I meant by that comment. Never mind, who cares anyway.
Yeah, Berto was close, but I thought he pulled it out on the cards 114-113 so it wasn't really luck in my mind.
