I am currently in Japan on business travel and got to see this fight live.
It was a draw - 115-114, 113-115, 114-114.
So Naito keeps the belt.
I had it 116-113 for Wonjongkam. Could see 115-113 but I thought Pong won clear...Naito gets alot of credit for being active and unorthodox shots.
It was in Tokyo, so Pong had to win one-sidedly - at least - to take the belt as Naito has gotten quite popular.
Pong had Naito buzzed, rocked and tired in the last rounds....to his credit, Disuke kept on punching and staying active and did catch Pong with right hands and left hooks to the body...enough to stay in it.

Lost on the parlay because Mashaba has no defense -- it was very funny to hear Atlas say that he hopes the judges are rewarding the fighter who landed more; Cruz was definitely landing through all the holes in Mashaba's D. Props to Fullbrights on nailing the Cruz pick (unfortunately for me, I didn't see the pick until after the fight; otherwise, I would've thought better of including Mashaba in that parlay).
So, I'm going with the parlay again in modified form:
Parlay: Mitchell (-365), Haye (-165), Peter (-410), Diaz (-500): 1 unit to win 2.05 units.
And one more play now that props are up on Diaz-Campbell: Diaz by Decision (+110): 2 units to win 2.2 units. I think that Campbell's tougher than Freitas, and he's got better skills than Julio. So, I'm expecting Juan to win a relatively close decision (116-112 neighborhood).

That post is from a friend of mine on another site. Apparently Pong hurt him just couldn't put him away.
Yep Val, this has been the year of the over it seems. Maybe things will turn around tonight because I put together an interesting parlay that hinges on some early nights.

That fight was never going to be competitive. I'm really upset I didn't get a big play in.
Yea LMS- you were all over it, spot on from the very beginning. I did the same thing and couldn't pull the trigger big - happens, you might get burnt once in a while in the short term, but for a good capper like yourself, pulling the trigger on the ones you feel strong about will work out big in the long run

Cheers on Haye.
Was having major connection problems last night for some reason and couldn't get on to post anything. It took 15 minutes to load fightnews in order to find out if Huggy Bear kept his career going.

1.65 units on Haye (-165) vs Enzo 1.75 units on Haye (-175) Statement made. I really think he should stay at cruiser if at all possible, but HW is where the money is. .50 of a unit on Johanneson (+300) vs Mitchell Close, but no cigar. He gave Mitchell quite a scare in the 5th and 6th rounds from what I read.
.65 of a unit to win 3.38 Peter ITD (-155) Diaz-Campbell won't go the distance (+105) Haye ITD (-119) Well this one would have been nice. After the cut and the fast pace the fight was going at I didn't think there was a way it lasted the distance, but the doc didn't do many any favors. The breaks just haven't been on my side this so far in 08.
LOL, .10 of a unit won for the weekend. $10!!!!! Time to go buy a meal at TGI Fridays.
