I know it's only Monday but I am playing the Contender finale tomorrow night so I figured I would go ahead and start a thread.  I think that Codrington's chin may betray him again under the bright lights and if that isn't the case then his athleticism can be offset by Bika's work rate and experience.

I also have my posted future parlay pending the Mormeck-Haye under Saturday.  I am going to play the over to hedge a bit, but am going to hold off for now and see if the odds rise a bit more.

I like Codrinton speed and power hopefully my book will have it.I just seen Codrinton get starched by Allan Green dam he got knocked the fuck out Mosley is +130 @ my book im loving it hope the Boriquas get it higher Good luck

Codrington is too strong,  this one could be an under also.

Any NY bias there?  The only way it's under is if Bika stops Codrington.

That is hands down the stupidest thing I've seen mentioned about this fight.

Have you even been watching the Contender this season? 

You do realize that Condrington is the only fighter to have KO'd all of this opponents so far?

You do also realize that Bika went the length against McCrary and Soliman, right?

i agree Joe Cal couldnt stop Bika i doubt Jaidon will i sill think Jaidons way to athletic for Bika though and i thought he lost to Soliman in the last fight

Wow!!! Now this is a Contender fan and not a "boxing" fan.  You may want to stick to reality TV.  You do realize that Soliman is a world class fighter and McCrary has a much better resume then the regionally fed Johnson and Vera.

Bika has gone 12 with Bute and Calzaghe in semi-competitive fights and never been stopped or even down to my knowledge;  on the other hand Codrington was starched in one round in his only national TV exposure before the Contender.

Hey, I think Survivors on, you better grab the remote.

 Ive never watched one episode of that shit(survivor) my books not putting  up the contender the sad thing is ive seen odds on the surviver winner

I'm glad you realized that you were stuck in the reality TV world and didn't bother to post a response.

Codrington may win, but any knowledgeable boxing fan would tell you that Codrington would be a huge favorite to get KOd here over Bika if someone was to get stopped, that is based on "real world" analysis of course; no pun intended.

I have an observation.  We all know that Bika will never be an elite-caliber fighter, as he's shown that he just doesn't have the speed or punching power to make that jump.  So, if Bika wins tonight, then the Contender didn't really produce a "contender."  However, if Jaidon wins, then there will at least be some prospect of him attaining the highest level.  The Contender producers know this, so they'd prefer for Jaidon to win.  As a result, I think that if it goes to the scorecards and it's close, Jaidon wins.  Bika either needs to dominate the rounds, or score a KO.  And I think the chances of Bika scoring the KO are low.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.  I completely agree with your statement that if it is close and goes to the cards it's Codringtons, plus it's also in the Northeast.  I don't agree with the last sentence though.

That was an interesting point by perricm. & lets leave the tit-4-tat to all of the nonBoxing Covers.com forums, mmmmk?

As for 2nite......an interesting match-up, as we have a better offensive fighter (the Don), vs. the more resilient fighter w/ a better Resume` (the Scorpion). That tells me the longer this one goes the more things mildly shift towards Bika's favor. But not by much. This one is pretty close to a coin-toss by me. To be the Power puncher, the Don+360 ITD is kinda tempting, but he can be stopped as well. So I played a LOW (which covers all but 1:30 of either Stoppage), and I played Bika SU as a side, both parlayed w/ FSU buying 15, & 2nites heavy NC2A hoops chalks.

Yep, I appreciate it.  Went according to plan....

It really didn't go much different then I thought it would; although I didn't expect Bika hurt in the fight.  Jaidon is just not a big time fighter mentally.
