No problem. And you're right. I am now a Froch fan. I'd love to see him take Allan Green's head off.
I think this fight will have brought Froch on a ton. I think he shouldn't fight Alan Greene because its a dangerous fight with little to gain. Lucian Bute Froch will beat easy..

Taylor will always have stamina issues for me, not because of weight or even laziness, but because of his style. He is robotic and doesn't fight relaxed. He wastes energy and gets hit too much. The good news for this board's Taylor backers is now, you finally won't have to watch him fight again.
Very good points. I completely concur with your analysis of Taylor's stamina problems.

Agreed full bright. I thought Froch was better then this BUT you have to give the guy credit going to the States and taking on a marquee name. To me Froch looked very nervous before the fight and you could almost see the confidence drain from him. He gambled BIG tonight taking this fight in the States. Taylor got off to the quick start I Expected but Froch looked outclassed to me and I was very disappointed in him. Then after 6 he seemed to relax a bit and slowly but surely wore Taylor down. If Froch has any sense he avoids Kessler/Pavlik for awhile. Lucian Bute or Inkin are fights he should take and unite some of the belts..The guy has heart and I think he won a lot of fans in the US tonight..
Again congrats on the winner, but I had to question "spot on."
I give him all the credit in the world, he ate a lot of shots and kept coming.
I saw where you said he beats Bute easy. Really? Agreed if he gets him in deep waters very late things could get dicey, but I don't think Bute allows him to stay upright that long.

Spot on LMS. I thought his stamina would be better at 168 because he was starting to look like Skeletor at 160, but I was off there. You nailed it, I just don't think it comes naturally enough for him. It's like he is thinking too much about everything he is doing in the ring. I really hope we don't see a rematch; Jermain has made enough dough. No more use taking any more brutal KO's. The end almost seemed eerily similar to the Benny Paret disaster against Emile Griffith based on how Taylor looked against the ropes.

Agreed, Taylor had hinted in the lead up to this fight that he was considering retirement relatively soon, and that was when he still thought he'd be winning. After this savagery, what's the point honestly. Froch isn't very good, but he obviously wants it very badly, and you just can't say the same for Taylor. He's never going to be a guy like Hopkins or Wright that keeps fighting forever, but he really should get out now. Or maybe take one easy fight and be done with it, his days as a champion are over, and I don't think he has the stomach to be a gate keeper.

My thoughts exactly. However, I never thought it would come this soon...
For some reason, I think that Taylor isn't shot yet. If he holds it together for another minute this wouldn't even be in the discussion. As far as him every being elite at 168.... probably not. It would continue to be an up and down battler for him, and he would really be the textbook definition of a gatekeeper.
It is what it is, he probably just don't have the gas or guts to continue for too much longer. He had a great run and probably has the bank to call it quits. Then again, DLH has had the bank for years and look how that played out.
Boxing might be the hardest sport to stop doing competitively. The money is always intriguing and the reward usually outweighs the risk for most accomplished fighters. I would love to see him call it quits after a couple more fights - but we know it will never end that way.
Cee - keep grinding. Good talk, and I'll see you this weekend.
