When you hear 118-110 it's nothing short of highway robbery.
It may be no consolidation but at least they know they handicapped the right guy, yes sucks people who benefit from being 100 % wrong with the fight and still collect.
Boxing Politics as usual. ( I hope this sets a reminder for all of us, take note of where someone is boxing before laying money).

The scoring was a SHAM.
I could see a DRAW as the worst case scenario

Indeed I thought Paulie was coming for the paycheck.. I was 100 % it's why I said if anyone was to wager.. $25 by ko/tko.
Paulie proved many wrong, myself included.
I had being forced into PROP fights, but at these odds.. you had to.
I agree anyone who laid -600 or got paid for a UD, should know they got very lucky, and needed Paulie getting robbed to get it.
Then again I think they could care less lol.
Congrats to Paulie, he will get some more paydays, fans know who won.
Yeah, but at about 50% of what he would have made. Paulie had ZERO leverage in this fight, and will have absolutely nothing in his next fight. Can't negotiate purses, venue, gloves, ring size, etc
It is WAY more than just a loss, and Paulie made it very clear why. However, I would love to see Paulie come here and fight Paulie Spadafora. Two Pauls, two Italians, to soft punchers with handspeed... hell they could meet in AC or Philly. Would be a great niche fight.

460/400 on the Malignaggi +20.5 points handicap, and a piece of Paulie via points at +593 100/593, so it cost me $693 dollars. I'm not all that mad, because I knew why they were giving such stupid odds on Paulie via points. However, it is what it is. Come to think of it, I damn near lost the points cap, it was 14 points. Who knows what it would have been if the fight was actually close.
Congrats Walk. Way to stick to your guns on Paulie. You called this as being a fight Paulie can win way back. I was way off here, maybe the last few fights have really taken the gas out of Diaz because I thought he looked even more sluggish on foot and he was willing to follow Paulie around and fight his fight except in spots. If you would have told me that Paulie would have out-thrown Juan to the extreme he did before the fight I would have said no way. Congrats again, close on the decision bet, still a great call.
I still can't get over the post-fight interview, that was great. Gale Van Hoy should never be able to judge a fight again; those were two masterful displays of idiotic and corrupt scoring tonight.

Thanks man. This fight was going to be one extreme or the other, I just guessed the right one. With Mayweather/Marquez and Klitschko/Arreola coming sooner than later, what's your feel on those two? Also, will you bet the under 6.5 rounds they will probably put out on the Klits fight? I know you did when younger bro fought Rahman (and won) but can you do it again? How low will the total be? I can't find one yet. Wait... one more. How in the blue hell is little bitty David Haye favored 2/1 over Valuev?

Looks like I might get bailed out by Gutierrez against Gulyakevich for the Diaz losses. He's winning handily through 5 including a point deduction, but the Belarusian is hanging tough.

I'm looking forward to the Mayweather undercard I think more then the main event. I think Mayweather wins, how depends on how comfortable he is and how much he is willing to risk.
I think Klit pounds Arreola and it won't last long. He takes his time, but with Arreola it won't matter because he will be stationary and willing to engage. I like under 2.5, just kidding.
I like Haye over the giant, but you are right, he hasn't done enough to be the fave 2-1 in Germany. I think we might actually see the Giant fall like a tree and man will that be a sight.

What a fight from Mexico. It's over, I know no one probably saw it, but what a war. Gutti gets it on the cards I believe, he actually got screwed out of a kd with about a 5 seconds to go in the last round imo. Gulyakevich is relentless. Come on baby.

Gutierrez wins a MD. Two cards were a bit to wide for him, but I thought he won. Glad I stayed up and glad there wasn't one more round to go. That fight was brutal.

Glad I stayed up to watch the card from south of the border after the Diaz fight and my horrible take there.

I know it was for a bogus WBC belt at 130, but if anyone can track down the Gutierrez-Gulyakevich fight you should take the time to do it. It was as rough as they come.
