I noticed claims of 5k bets to win by KO (TKO, stoppage, etc). First off, Las Vegas is miniscule except for Straight Wagers on NFL, NBA(lower), NCAA...
For those you bet large know Las Vegas is a joke for sportsbettors. Also, you can't lay down $5k on a prop instantly. There are caps. Also, having someone placing bets for you is illegal. You would ask the sportsbook the cap, and the max bet before line adjustments. More than likely you would have to spread it across several sportsbooks Vegas. They reset the lines, especially prop odds once the sportsbook reaches a limit adjustment period.
Example: For a straight wager of a major sport I was able to bet 5k at -115 -8points, then adjusted to -110 -8.5 for 5k, then it was -120 -8.5 for an additional 5k.
Normally they use 10k increments, but is other people have it 9k one way, you are only allowed up to the pre-max set amount, so it would be 1k, then adjusted. Also, when they reset and adjust they don't always change odds or points, they spread action to allow players (VIPs) the same line.
Either work at a sportsbook, even better offshore as they set their own rules, but the risk might be small but you might have no claim to collect as they are outside the DOJ jurisdiction unless owners reside within the US.
Las Vegas became a joke for sportsbettors in the 80s when they capped baseball and enforced bet "runners" as a real crime. This was used to allow people to bet higher than the max bet per person.
Simple things and posts for those that are totally BS and don't know how things actually work outside (as a player) and inside (as a sportsbook), they show like Pinocchio.
It's the reason very few real handicappers bother posting, or even reading.
GLto all the real bettors.
