I noticed claims of 5k bets to win by KO (TKO, stoppage, etc). First off, Las Vegas is miniscule except for Straight Wagers on NFL, NBA(lower), NCAA...

For those you bet large know Las Vegas is a joke for sportsbettors. Also, you can't lay down $5k on a prop instantly. There are caps. Also, having someone placing bets for you is illegal. You would ask the sportsbook the cap, and the max bet before line adjustments. More than likely you would have to spread it across several sportsbooks Vegas. They reset the lines, especially prop odds once the sportsbook reaches a limit adjustment period.

Example: For a straight wager of a major sport I was able to bet 5k at -115 -8points, then adjusted to -110 -8.5 for 5k, then it was -120 -8.5 for an additional 5k.

Normally they use 10k increments, but is other people have it 9k one way, you are only allowed up to the pre-max set amount, so it would be 1k, then adjusted. Also, when they reset and adjust they don't always change odds or points, they spread action to allow players (VIPs) the same line.

Either work at a sportsbook, even better offshore as they set their own rules, but the risk might be small but you might have no claim to collect as they are outside the DOJ jurisdiction unless owners reside within the US.

Las Vegas became a joke for sportsbettors in the 80s when they capped baseball and enforced bet "runners" as a real crime. This was used to allow people to bet higher than the max bet per person.

Simple things and posts for those that are totally BS and don't know how things actually work outside (as a player) and inside (as a sportsbook), they show like Pinocchio.

It's the reason very few real handicappers bother posting, or even reading.

    GLto all the real bettors.

    great post.

pinnacle has a limit on an opening line  of between $300-600(props and straight action) on boxing which is then increased to $1400(this can sometimes take up to a week) to allow line adjustments.

you can then place bets every five minutes to what i believe as to whatever pinnacle wants to limit their exposure.

matchbook does not have any line limits as it is an exchange between bettors where the house takes one percent from each side. bettor a can offer an unlimited amount of action and bettor b can accept unlimited amount of action.

both matchbook and pinnacle interface with neteller where deposits and withdrawals are made almost instantaneuolsy. i have had money from both pinnacle and matchbook deposited into my neteller account in as short as two minutes and no more than ten minutes which is accessible through a debit card honored at any mc/visa merchant as well as all atms.

Late summer 2006 Neteller froze US accounts. Fortunately, I knew prior and did a full withdrawal. I had to use Canadian and other offshores through proxy servers that got through. One tip people should have known was Pinnacle was the best SportsBook for people and also the sharpest linemakers. They closed US accounts a week before Neteller, therefore that should have been an instant clue.

Pinnacle was great with so much action offering often even to plus odds when everyone else was still -110. Canbet was great at first as at -107 straight wagers and they were about 3 hours behind line movements of other sportsbooks allowing great middles. For instance Pinnacle would have a game +111 -5, Canbet +5.5 -107... adjust the amounts and the only risk was the sportsbook not paying. That happened very often when sportsbooks competed for action. It wasn't until 5dimes offered so many props that allowed sharp bettors greater advantages once again (after Pinnacle cut US off they became micro sized).

Neteller was good but I used Firepay. They offered $2,500 for $3.99 charge, I had a 10x limit per day, so for $40, I could get 25k a day for 5 days before they even did a withdrawal. They did not make you wait like Neteller did for 4-7 days or up to $750 instant at 8%. My friends had a VIP 100k online account and was able to call in an additional 150k... that 250k a game without the line adjustment many times. Now those were good times while they lasted. The SAFE port act was BS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAFE_Port_Act), and actually it was signed earlier, but not enforced till much later. PartyPoker, several sportsbooks like Pinnacle shutdown US customers and complied in 2006, it took 4 more years to enfore it by the DOJ. April 15, 2011 when FullTilt, PokerStars and others were frozen (poker's Black Friday) was the end.

Now with federal government trying to regulate but allowing each state to control it doesn't seem to be flowing well for investors.

Back to boxing... as for CJ Ross, she was put in that judging seat for a reason. If a fight was close, her ridiculous draws would make a draw, therefore setting up rematch and trilogys (BIG MONEY). Manny vs Juan, fight 1 Manny won a huge round and a few others, 2nd fight was close it could have been decided either way. The 3rd match, Marquez landed consistently clean and flush but losing a ridiculous decision only in hopes that Manny and Floyd would meet. Manny beats Bradley, but loses on the cards? No suprise as they wanted a rematch as the Floyd fight was clearly not going to happen. Manny fights Juan the 4th time with it starting out great and just as Manny started to hurt Juan... LIGHTS OUT for him. That's why I love Marquez as he fights hardcore like old school fighters did just to put food on their families table.

I know Chavez is Mexico's top worshipped (I assume by the polls), but personally I think Marquez brings and fights with everybit of tenacity as anyone ever.

Hope to see some decent analysis with the few remaining handicappers here. Also, why do members make a wrong prediction then say they were right all along? Is this the jedi-mind FU$% ? lol

Is this the jedi-mind FU$% ? lol

first off, i had to play the draw at pinnacle for exactly the reason you stated. bought it at the open at +3000 and it got bought down to +1500 at one point. the first eight rounds on stanley crhrisodoulous cards was just as bad on the trout/canelo fight.

neteller allows up to 500k bank wire at a fee of 12.00. matchbook allows me up to 10k bank wire at 25.00 every 24 hours. these withdrawal amounts vary from player to player. matchbook first limited me to 2500 but as i became more established so did my limit amount. pinnacle, as well as i believe dimes, allows you to withdraw only the limit that you initially deposited. so the key here is to deposit, from neteller, as much as you possibly can because that will be your limit on future withdraws(ie. initial deposit 10k/ withdraw 10k).
