Sturm v Macklin

Question

Not a huge fan of Macklin and this looks another bout to keep WBA Middleweight title in Germany. AA was like this before the Super 6 and I hate the way German based boxers can seem to monopolise title defenses like this. Sturm is only -300 and I find this a surprise and I don't give Macklin ANY chance here. I think he (Sturm) is the better boxer and has a really strong chin. Added to the fact the fight is in Germany and Macklin is not an explosive puncher then -300 really is a great price.

Still I can't help the feeling one of two things will happen here. Sturm by decision or a Sturm late KO. Therefore I will be playing 2 plays (the last one being a straddle)..

1) Sturm by decision @ -110

2) Sturm by KO rounds 10-12 @ +1200

Another fight you know is going to the judges, and you just can&#x27;t trust&#x27;em unless it is one sided. Then again, Holyfield vs Lewis I thought Lewis won every round (among the majority) and the fight was a draw. Co-incidence that the only big money fight back then is a draw so they have to rematch? LOL - Also, becareful on rematches were the first fight was a close decision because Trilogies only sell when it&#x27;s even or close. Now Manny has a trilogy with Marquez, but at the weight of 145lbs it&#x27;s not even close for Marquez that can&#x27;t bring up power like Manny can. Too bad, he was the one guy that beat Manny down (besides Morales 1st fight).

Wow called that badly wrong yet won my bet. Macklin won that fight 115-113..BUT in Germany that means my bet wins. Boxing is disgustingly corrupt..Sturm didn&#x27;t win the fight!

Neither did Oscar beat Sturm (LOL). You think the 100 million dollar match with Hopkins vs Oscar had anything to do with that decision.

Zouk correct. The day you back a German based fighter in Germany against a guy with no KO punch is NEVER a bad bet..

Just like when you get a action first fight with two fighters, close enough to warrant a rematch... you better be sure of two things. If you are betting (especially the winner), first off the fighter who won the first fight can generate roughly as much as the other fighter in similar matches and can won by KO (TKO). Otherwise you are looking at a close fight again, headed toward a big money trilogy. Morales vs Barrera, many thought Barrera got robbed when Morales won. The rematch I thought Morales won, and all the judges had Barrera winning, now setting up a 3rd big money fight.
