although i dont agree with many of your plays, the request by pbf to fight with 8 ounce gloves may lead one to believe that hes going for a ko. imo, a fighter with the superior skillset would want the heavier gloves to limit the chance and effect of a lucky punch(the reason why there are more upsets in mma as opposed to boxing) as the longer a fight goes on the less chance the inferior fighter has of winning.
perhaps pbf is betting on the ko and has gotten the idea from froch.
there is absolutley no way i would bet pbf decision. imo, i think he couldve kod mosely if he wanted to(he gave him a free pass) and that version of mosely is much better than this current version of cotto.

The decision for Floyd to use the 8 oz. gloves couldn't have been as easy as some may think.
On one hand you have a guy (Cotto) who has been known to cut, bruise and swell very easily, but on the other hand, it's no secret that Floyd has had tremendous trouble with his own hands over the past couple years. There is MUCH less protection in the Reyes "punchers" gloves.
