Jerseyboy89: Since the fight is for WBA Super World Light Middleweight Title, I think it would be prudent to use the rules and regulations they use. I might be going out on a limb here, but something tells me Boxing Governing Bodies follow and work with the Athletic State Commission, and in a WBA Championship Bout, I'd guess they would use their rules and not the WBC... just a guess.
RULES OF WORLD BOXING ASSOCIATION Rule #26. Gloves. The weight of the gloves to be used in world championship bouts shall be as follows: a. From Super Welterweight up to and including Heavyweight: ten (10) ounces.
your early reply was "wrong. In Nevada 8 oz gloves can be used if both parties agree @ 154. You're owned." ... are you going to stick with your original statement? Are you going to change the question, or just go back to Marquess of Queensberry rules in 1867.
For a guy that went from CopyCat, now he wants to re-establish himself as his own man and be controversial with false information just to get attention. Jerseyboy89: PLEASE BE YOUR OWN MAN, NOT A MEXICAN WANNA BE. You applaud Margacheeto because he is Mexican, and mock a warrior like Cotto because he's Puerto Rican. I feel some racial dissent, but we will keep this boxing. Show me how my statement regarding the WBA on Rule #26 is wrong... because they are fighting WBA rules, did you know? I got owned, or did you get POWNED! JB89 JB89 ... JB89 ... 89JB

manny and margo fought for the vacant 154 pound wbc superwelterweight title with eight ounce gloves as opposed to ten ounce gloves. anything is possible if the fighters and commission agree to it. pbf and cotto will be with ten ounce gloves.

Once again, did you read the topic about using the rules of that governing body (lol) or realize, oops, I just read an article that someone posted and didn't know the rules or read the NSAC, and all Governing Body Rules & Regulations. I stated show me where I was wrong for WBA rule #26... and I'll even add the sub-sections that you don't know where to find regarding your reply!
Now: As for your Vacant 154 WBC Super Welterweight Title with eight ounce gloves... was this breaking news (LOL). Your statement "anything is possible if the fighters and commission agree to it. pbf and cotto will be with ten ounce gloves." is 100% wrong. Know the rules and understand what can be bent and what can be broken!
READ CAREFUL AND LEARN... This weekend’s 154 lb. title fight will, of course, not be happening at a maximum of 154. A catchweight of 150 lbs has been set. The problem for Saturday is that this catchweight is also in range of the Welterweight limit, in so much as it is closer to Welterweight’s 147lbs ceiling than it is to Light Middleweight’s 154lbs. Catchweights, in title fights or otherwise, are nothing new. They can be used to level the playing field, to abuse a larger man who needs the money against a star, and/or, in this era of day-before-the-fight weigh-in’s, to limit the amount of post scale weight a fighter might put on.

Once again, they gather thoughts and look up information. It's nice when you don't archive google and then quote a source from a sports writer for a local paper of a population of 1,453... oops, sorry, I typed to slow, it's now 1,452 population. Time for the obituary guy.

I asked about WBA rule #26, you did what politicians do... answer their own questions. The very first post ended with a question... Show me how my statement regarding the WBA on Rule #26 is wrong... because they are fighting WBA rules, did you know?
You answered " manny and margo fought for the vacant 154 pound wbc superwelterweight
title with eight ounce gloves as opposed to ten ounce gloves. anything
is possible if the fighters and commission agree to it. pbf and cotto
will be with ten ounce gloves."
Then again you changed to "both sides, as well as the sactioning governing body, had to agree on the glove size." Previously you stated commission, yes? Do you know the difference? Wow, and your stats, I was 0-3 for a long time, then I noted you missed Mosley. Along with others, I know you like fancy topics, and he will smash him, but read a fight breakdown and the winner is in it, you prefer to avoid truth.
You are a guy who states all these winners but for how many units.,. that's is the important point. You can win 80% and lose money. Kid... come to Aria poker room tonight around 9PM EST, and go to the Ivey Room and ask for Zouklen (Zuk-Len). Or do you live outside Vegas?

Avoiding your statements. Just once can you man up and say, I was wrong, or are you always going to have to be in the right or the winner of an argument that you never answer the original questions asked. For yourself, if you aren't a child, don't act like one. Men admit their wrong doings, and those who lie and deny end up answering questions about other issues, as it is called deflection and a spin. They keep the topic, but lose the relevance.
As your reply regarding the Aria tonight, I'll assume you never been to Vegas. It's OK if you haven't as it is not a requirements, it doesn't make you less of a man.
My picks were early today

For those attending the 2012 Boxing Hall of Fame, there will be more current champions, ex-champions and many other great fighters. Probably the most amount of talented group of fighters in one room at the same time to ever occur. Even Hagler is attending and maybe give a pep speech because of all the deaths (age and murders), bad events (terrible ring actions between fighters), etc, and all that pertain.
thesoulpurpose: I will be there the entire time (7th-10th), so I will send you info to contact me and I can intro you to some people I'm sure we both know. I lost some major connection through Angelo Dundee. He looked and sounded as he was starting to lose grip with life as many start to at that time. I saw him late 2008 prior to Oscar vs Manny (I think it was weekend of a Berto fight just ended; that seems correct as Teddy was interviewing a friend "Mike Faragon" who just signed with Golden Boy and debut was Mosley vs Cotto undercard at MSG. I knew his father (the man who raised and adopted him "Andy Faragon" over 25 years ago as I started kick-boxing at an early age. Mike is 24 years of age, is 17-0-0 with 8 by KO. Haven't hung or hit the pads with him in a while. Hard worker, good father and has good surroundings. Last time we were going over things and he calls me the high stakes baller in Vegas and if he fights there I told him if he worked on his footwork (it's good but needs more motion) I'd bring him out with the young crew over at HardRock and Aria. Soul... the only place around is a casino, which is now quite big. Turning Stone Casino,,, during my AKA "blackjack card counting days" people didn't believe me. How's this, if you go, stay at Turning Stone Casino or Vernon Down Suites.. I get them all compd! Although it is much nicer in Vegas with 5-Star MGM 24HR Service.

That's funny, as I was reading this thread, my ipod is playing that song,
"You Gotta Keep Em' Separated".
Even though you two obviously dont care for each other, I like both of you, and its like walking down the street and seeing two dudes slugging it out, I gotta stop and watch.

Jaybirdy: As for the few people who ask me info on fights or else, I don't know anyone personally except for members that use to work as groups. I guess it's more interesting than reading nothing..., forums and all these new generation communications give every person a voice to be heard and feel as if they were someone (like it really matters). It is sometimes funny, but with so many inaccuracies and many so called experts that never spent a day in the gym, they could look like a genius in a post. I've been mocked for 90k bet I did at early 20s.. like that's so impossible. Card-counting, I never claimed riches or fame, just experience and recent offers as of 2009 to build teams, as I can get them in to Las Vegas Casino games and back-story them as fellow high stake poker players or rich kids.
