Ward v Froch...Ward -200!!!!!!!!The bet of the Year

Just put 90% of my roll on Ward -200. Yes it's probably going to decision, but -200 is an absolute gift. Take it..

Not even betting on any other match this year (I'm serious). I will preview the fight closer to it. I also have Ward +1000 pre tourney....

90% of your roll? First of all how? I can't bet more than 4 units if I wanted to with sportsbook limits. If true I don't see how this can be good bankroll management. You underestimated Froch once before when you dropped 33% of your roll on Abraham and he nearly got shut out.

If Froch wins what happens? You never bet again because all of your money is pretty much gone?

Colour thats how I see the fight too. Ward's chin has looked dodgy in the past and Froch can bang, but I don't believe Ward has a glass jaw. I think you look at the fighters Froch has had the most problems with in the past. Dirrell and Taylor. Dirrell won that fight in my eyes. I've watched that fight 4 times and I have Dirrell winning 7 rounds to 5 and thats me veing VERY generous to Froch. Jermaine Taylor completely outclassed Froch for 11 rounds. Both these fighters made Froch look very clumsy. Ward is a better fighter then either Dirrell or Taylor. He has two attributes Taylor or Dirrell don't have much of. Mental toughness and stamina.

I remember Floyd Mayweather was -200 against Ricky Hatton. I couldn't believe that. Hatton got way to much respect. Just like Froch is getting now. To be this is a simple fight to cap....

1) Ward is faster

2) Fight is in America

3) Ward is more skilled

4) Inside fighting, mental toughness, stamina are 50/50

-200 is insane I wouldn't bet Froch even if it was in the +500 to +1000 range, Froch just doesn't box well enough to have a real chance, Ward will just box for 12 rounds and not take any real chances to an easy win 118-110 or maybe 117-111, just can't see it any closer.

Mack is right, this is a very similiar match-up as Mayweather-Hatton, same result, boxers almost always beat brawlers or wild fighters.

Don't get me wrong I like Ward, I'd say Ward -200 has value but your bankroll management is a bit of a mess. 33% of your roll on Abraham/Froch is a little crazy, 90% of your roll on one fight is stupid unless Pacquiao was fighting my grandmother. Froch is a world class fighter.

Ok I shouldn't have mentioned anything about Bankrolls. Let's just say I am MASSIVELY confident on Ward. I got my roll in the first place from Mayweather to win and Mayweather to KO Hatton. Both hit..

Anyway that's neither here nor there.Let's focus on the fight not bankrolls. I agree Froch is a world class fighter. BUT styles make fights. He has struggled in the past against slick boxers (Dirrell, Taylor). Added to the fact there is only one mentally tougher fighter then Froch in this tourney and its Ward! Dirrell/Taylor gave the blueprint on how to beat Froch. Expect Ward to have the perfect gameplan for Froch. Ward will be the hometown fighter (fight prob in Vegas) so Froch at some stage will have to come forward as I can see Ward knicking all the cagey early rounds. This will play right into Ward's hands. I expect a 116-112 kind of fight. If Glen Johnson can hit Froch at will with right hands what is Ward going to do?? -200 is a gift here. I'd have Ward -450 to -500

agreed. im all over ward but you never, ever bet your bankroll on one play. this is long-term investing where over time a good handicapper plays the odds into his favor and will consistently win year-over-year. ward has shown a suspect chin against lesser competition in his earlier years.

unless something advese comes up regarding ward, i have him as 15-unit play for me.

I don't have a strong opinion on this fight, but if this scenario plays out I'll be stunned.  Ward has never stopped a quality opponenet, and I don't see Froch being the first.
