Good job with the scoring Fullbrights.  I had it same.  These announcers don't understand the concept of effective aggression.

Yeah, it's always tough scoring a fight while heading back to the page and trying to get the post to load while responding quickly to others.  I was pretty confident in my card, glad I didn't mislead Diaz backer and the judges agreed. 

I felt like the announcers were just giving close rounds to Morales based on sympathy.

You were dead on Fullbrights. I was stuck so much this week, that I couldn't watch. I had IV and DD by decision. Almost totally bailed me out. I was just looking for + money. Thanks again.

No, not ragging at all. I guess I was really just hyped up because I pretty much knew it was his last fight. Oh well, he's seen much better days, and has given us tons and tons of great moments. Great fight. Congrats Diaz, and his backers.

Yeah, real strange.  I liked the +300 by dec. for Diaz for value, but no way would I bankroll this fight with so many variables.  No way anyone could say one guy would outclass the other.

Actually I would give ring generalship to Morales.  He was able to use space and angles and neutralize Diaz for a lot of the fight.  He showed incredible knowledge and skill.  A lesser fighter would have gotten KO'd, IMHO.

Completely agree.  Morales's ring savvy and experience is what kept him in this fight.  He used the ring well and was able to turn Diaz when pinned on the ropes.

Pretty wild that all 4 titles at lightweight are still held by Diaz's (Juan, Julio, and David). 

Juan- WBO and WBA
Julio- IBF
David- WBC

Congrats to all the Diaz backers!! I certainly felt that Diaz won the fight and although Morales made it 12, it is painfully clear he is not the Morales of old... just an old Morales!

 

The Marquez loss sucks, but like a few others said, you cannot be too upset with such a brutal battle. I think if Marquez would have boxed more he could have got the stoppage from the horrible state of Vasquez's face, but in the end it was still a decent night, going 1-1.

 

Well boys, this will probably be my last meaningful post on covers. I will be sure to stop back by when I find a new home and invite you all to stop by and become regular contributors. Sorry we

did not leave on a 2-0 mark, but at least we did not go 0-2

Same...nothing has changed.  I have very small limits and can only make a decent score with a big dog unless I cross the border.  But, the good news is I play on credit, no offshore transactions (local agents), payouts are free and are every week (assuming I win).  Bad news is high juice, low limits and late lines.  Still kicking the shit of the book pretty well, so far.
