Will Canelo have a difficult fight this weekend?

I can see him winning, but -800 seems a bit steep, don't it?

Not at all. Rhodes can't hurt him and the fight is in Mexico. Alvarez walks through another light hitting fighter, getting the knockout in the process. (-159)

Litzau/Broner to go the distance at -160 is also appealing.

Agree with you on the Alvarez fight.  I see a lot of people picking Rhodes and others saying he's very live.  I just don't see it.  Canelo will be putting huge pressure on him, and I don't think Rhodes will be able to handle it.

 

As for the Litzau/Broner fight, I've lost a lot of money betting on Litzau to get KO'd recently, and it might happen again.  Broner looked awful last time, and if he does that again he won't be back on HBO.  I think he'll step it up, and he is definitely skilled and powerful enough to take care of Litzau.  Litzau has capitalized on guys taking him lightly lately, but I think we'll see a focused/aggressive Broner in this fight.

That was my initial thought as well. However, it's only 10 rounds and I feel Litzau has become at least a guy that people are going to have to work to get a victory. 

Also, I've talked myself into believing that Broner is going to some trouble closing the distance. Enough to back Litzau? Probably not, but another "Really?" type of performance from Litzau wouldn't shock me.

earlier this year I had picked the 2 losers on the TV card and got both inside the distances wrong.

4 straight bets that night and YES, four consecutive loses.
