I'm really liking the ARGOS tonight at home against the STAMPS who will be missing their star running back who is also Canadian and helps out with their import ratios.
And CAL will also be without one of their veteran receivers in Nik "Move the Chains" Lewis who seems to perennially lead the league in 2nd down conversion catches. And he is also one of the very best blocking receivers in the CFL.
And on the other side of the ball the ARGOS have been playing very well recently and are the hottest team in the league and really are looking even better than the team that won last years Grey Cup.
Their defense had issues at the beginning of the year with a massive turnover of players due to free agency and retiring players. But their young and talented D is now starting to gel and play well.
But their real strength would have to be Ricky Ray playing as well as I can remember even when the ESKS were winning and going to the Grey Cups.
On the season he's 143-183 for 78 % and his last 3 games are insanely good going 64-73 including 30-35 last game with 3 t.ds. And thats now 14 td on the year and still ZERO interceptions
Now earlier in the week I was a lil worried about the revenge angle with CAL losing last years Grey Cup to TOR in TOR and thought that might give them the edge. However with two of their main threats out on offense I'm just not sure if they'll have the horses to keep pace with an ARGOS teams thats scored 35,38,38 and then 36 in their last game.
Give me the hottest team in the league with for my money the best q.b who is also SCORCHING hot with a near 90% completion percentage over his last 3 games.
