Als +14.5 and Under 55

12 fresh faces for the Bombers tonight vs an Als team that is very similar to last year.  Can the Bombers win? Yes I believe they will but they won't be anywhere near covering the 14.5.  As for the under, 55 is too high.  As always with football, be it NFL, college or CFL the defense is usually ahead of the offense at least in the first few weeks of the season.  I expect a low scoring Bombers win here but Also will cover this

Bombers ML wuth Celtics ML parlay

I expect the Celtics to take game 1 in the finals but the spread is iffy.  Love the odds on this parlay and I'm using the Bombers to take the juice from -235 on the Celtics to a respectable -120

Very interesting parlay.

MTL will be down 7 starters tonight.

Maybe that levels the playing field.

 Agreed. Which also leads me to believe that this will be a relatively low scoring game as both teams try to find their groove which is why I love my teaser.  Ultimately bombers revenge angel, at home will be enough to win the game but I can see it coming down to the last 3 minutes 

Broke even last night.  Let's see if I can turn a profit tonight

How healthy is Bo Levi Mitchell?  He was in a walking boot just a couple weeks ago.  Add to that some injuries to the Ti Cats defence with DB Jamal Peters and LB Carthel Flowers-Lloyd as well as OT Jordan Murray.  Finally, it's Calgary's home opener.  I'll take the Stamps to win SU here

Same as last night, fading the Elks here.  Take a look at their defence.  Full of rookies.  3 rookies ion the DL plus both outside LBs are rookies.  And another rookie in the secondary.  Oh and receiver Kyran Moore is out for this game

Good luck   Totals are tough for me so I don't bother.

But speaking of golf, I bought an beautiful Oiler's golf bag 2 years ago and only took it out a couple times since.  After last nights game, I'd be too embarrassed to take it out.  I'd probably use the old bag as not to draw attention.   

Great day for golf (but isn't any day a great day for golf.... kind of like fishing).  Anyways, I hope you shot well and were fully stocked with golden suds.

Yep has a good round today.  Hit a birdie, a few pars but mostly bogies.  I'm just a run of the mill amateur that enjoys a Sunday round of golf here and there

I liked Bombers at -7 or -6.5, but the line has now moved against me to -8.  Can't lay 8 points with Peg this early into the season until they prove their last game was an aberration.

On the other hand, looking at the radar, the bad weather looks like it will miss Ottawa and should be a non factor.  With RB Brady Oliviera being out, I expect a pass happy offense from Winnipeg.

Having said all that, I still love winnipeg to win this game SU.  They should bounce back after a poor first game.

Al's -4.5

After much mulling, taking the Als in this spot.  I expect Fajardo and Philpott to exploit the rookie laden Elks defense.  I also think Edmonton will struggle to move the ball on a good MTL defense

Too many points imo.

Down a few units after a decent start.  Last weekend was one to forget.  Lost both my plays by a half point and a point.  Frustrating but we move on

Als -6.5

I hate going against Chef but I love the. Als laying less than a TD in their home opener.  Banner raising tonight and they are playing Ottawa that barely beat a depleted Bluebombers defense last week, especially in the 2nd half.  Tonight Dru Brown is going to face off against arguably the best defense in the CFL and I think he's going to get eaten alive.  Montreal will also have Dylan Wynn back on the DL.  To summarize, I think the books have overreacted to Ottawa's win last week against Winnipeg, but Winnipeg is a mess right now and MTL is a big step up

Play #9 - Multi sport parlay

Als ML with Argentina ML (,Copa America)

Going to give myself a safe out here in case something crazy happens in the Als game.  Taking MTL to win SU with Argentina to win SU in the Copa America opener is as safe as.it gets.  Sorry Canada, but Argentina is too good.

Last game, Montreal did what I expected but maj I didn't expect that kind of shellacking.

Ok to today:

Winnipeg/BC under 52

I can't understand this total.  I think it should be around 47.  Winnipeg has struggled offensively without Lawler.  Now Oliveira is on limited snaps.  Am I to believe they will turn it around tonight? Perhaps.  But I don't think so.  I think it's going to be another tough outing for the Bombers on offense.  Conversely, BC is on a short week, having played last Saturday.  I can see VA and BCs offense struggling.  IMO if the line of -3 to Peg is right and they win, it will be a low scoring affair.  In any event, taking a shot at the under.  I just can't see how these offenses will get to 53 points

Elks +11/Under 56

Main reason, bad weather in Toronto, rainfall warning, 32km/h wind with gusts of 17km/h is going to make it difficult for either team to move the ball.  Secondly, I expect a bit of regression from Dukes and the Elks defense did a great job holding MTL to just 23 points last game.  Can't see the game hitting anywhere near 56 points and I'm basically taking a shot that the Els defence, combined with the lousy weather, will be able to keep the score within 11

Totally whiffed last night with the under, I expected bad weather that never came and can't beg an under with the Argos, both defenses couldn't make stops to save their lives

Anyways moving on

Putting this in now as I am going stateside for the day and won't be able to put in bets over there

Always like to take the losing team on a b2b, home and home and I especially like it here.  I thought Hamilton was the dominant team and should have won if it wasn't for them having. 4th quarter meltdown.  So far, the Roughies have won by having to come back late and eventually that is going to bite them and I think it will here.

Well, treading water. Stuck in the mud so to speak.  Not gaining traction.  Hamilton was a bad pick, they had zero chance against Saskatchewan, but you take the loss and use it towards the future.  Sask looks like they could go all the way this year.

Edmonton +13.5 and Over 45.5

The Elks so far have shown they can hang.  Take away their 8 point loss the the Roughies back in Week 1, when they were ahead for most of the game until they turned the ball over late to give Sask the win, they have lost to the Al's and Argos by 3 points in each game.  Their 0-3 does not reflect how well they have played.  B.C, while on paper the better team, have not exactly blown anyone out, with their last game barely squeaking by the Bombers by 2.  Can B.C win? Yes. Can they cover 13.5? Can't see it.  Also, I expect this to be another high scoring game as both defences give up a lot of points.
