in the game tonight between WPG BC with 4:12 remaining in the 4th quarter there was a reverse hand off (hand off in front off qb). I'm pretty sure the rules make it a hand off and not a pass but the stats keeper credited the receiver with a 9 yard reception. I may be wrong but have never seen a hand off credited for a pass before. A shuffle is a pass I know but in replay and live motion it was a definitive hand off . It seems insignificant but im sure their is more then my player props that were decided with this questionable error in recording the stats. so all shotgun handoff are passes all of sudden? cause they are technically forward too if this is actually the rule. this is all i found and i think its worth questioning . CFL rule - A handoff pass is made on a scrimmage play when the ball is handed, but not thrown, by one Team A player to another behind the line of scrimmage. There is no restriction on the number of handoff passes on any one play.
