I'd be very surprised if BC responded with any kind of effort after that emotional, gut wrenching meltdown last week in Winnipeg.
With a win in the bag last week the Lions suffered an incredible meltdown not only blowing a 21 point lead in the 4th quarter but also committing a litany of bad penalties when they had Winnipeg dead to rights in OT only to give them a second life and allow them to win. You could feel the emotion after the game as BC players were yelling at each other on the field and as Wally Buono stood there yet again with a complete look of incompetence on his face. I saw an interview from Buono today that summed up all I needed to know. He said that the loss "will haunt these guys for a long time" and he tried to pin the bad penalties and undisciplined play on the players while failing to admit he has lost the team and is utterly clueless. It brings a smile to my face knowing I'll get to fade this loser at least one more time before he is fired.
If you can believe it if the Eskimos win this game they leapfrog BC and jump into the final playoff spot in the West. As much as BC will still be thinking about last week as the locker room unravels, the Eskimos will have a renewed spark in their locker room. Long written off as dead they will come out hungry with something to finally play for for the first time in months, and possibly smelling blood and sensing weakness off the BC meltdown.
GL this week boys.

BC shot themselves in the foot to say the least, the trash talk, headbutting and punching was a complete meltdown on their part. I picked this game as a BC win and watched in amazement as they blew a 20 pt lead. I'd fade BC for the rest of the season.

Nice writeup, couldn't agree more.

Nice call Mac. I was a little nervous when that BC receiver started running horizontal with a head of steam, but they made a good tackle on him, then Edmonton finished it off. Congrats.

Thanks jim. I was sweating there in OT that's for sure.
Now it's time to root for Saskatechewan to beat Calgary tomorrow so I can bet Calgary next week as they thrash these dead Lions.

Good call. I got Edmonton at +6. That would have been a bad if Edm didn't cover. BC getting the ball in OT first was also looking bad for Edm backers, lots of scenarios that first team scores TD and second team gets nothing because they need a TD as well. Good thing they ended it.
