CALGARY -1.5 ( 5 units )
Part of my success in 2012 has been taking advantage of what I think has been the year of the soft line. There were many situations throughout the CFL season in which the books posted odds that were beatable by using simple handicapping techniques. This time around they got the number right. It's been floating between 1.5-2. The better team is favorite and Calgary will win the 100th Grey Cup. What I mean by getting the number right is that the books disregard home field advantage. I agree and this is why Calgary is a small favorite. The City of Toronto won the bid to host the 2012 Grey Cup not the Argos. The Lions share of the revenue goes to the city not the Argonauts. Therefore there isn't going to be any favoritism with firecrackers salutes from the scoreboard when the Argos score points. Both teams will have scoreboard perks. By the way , Calgary will have it's touchdown horse on the sidelines and I'm estimating about 15,000 Stampeder fans at the Rogers Center.
Breaking down the game !!! I give every edge to Calgary except for the QB position and a small edge to Toronto on special teams. They will counter this by kicking away from Chad Owens. As far as KG is concerned ! Regardless of what happens he knows that he won't be the starter next year so his CFL legacy is at stake and he will bring his A-Game. Huge edge to Calgary on the offensive line. Calgary is the hottest team in the league and they will win in what I predict a high scoring game.
