BAYLOR VS. THE ACC
• Baylor is 5-9 vs. current members of the Atlantic Coast Coast and Virginia Tech will be the Bears’ second ACC opponent this season. In November, Wake Forest defeated the Bears, 87-74, to win the 76 Classic in Anaheim, Calif.
• Baylor has not defeated a current member of the ACC since Dec. 27, 1974, when the Bears won 108-80 over Georgia Tech at the Old Dominion Classic in Norfolk, Va.

The Hokies will now face the Baylor Bears on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Cassell Coliseum. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by going online at hokietickets.com. Adult tickets are $15 and student/youth tickets are $5.
 
In addition, 2,000 complimentary student tickets will be distributed beginning today between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Cassell Coliseum ticket office. Students picking up a complimentary ticket must have a valid Virginia Tech I.D. card. Limit of one ticket per student.

I would like to thank everyone for their support of our team all season and especially Wednesday night. Your energy and ownership helped us stay the course for a hard-fought 50-minute, double-overtime victory against Duquesne. I know that the 11 a.m. start on Saturday morning is an inconvenience, but we hope everyone will have us as a part of his or her social calendar for the weekend. There is no doubt in my mind that we would not have won the game on Wednesday night without the support of all our fans.

We are excited about Saturday's game. It's another national television game and we want to show the country that the "Hokie Nation" is ready to go, 24/7. Regardless of whether it's a 10 a.m. or midnight tip, we are ready to go. Thank you for your support throughout the season and we look forward to seeing you in the Cassell on Saturday morning.
