The best thing I can encourage anyone to do, who takes sportsbetting seriously and wants to make money short and long term is this:

get an odds comparison tool, something like betstamp, madduxsports.com, unabated, guys...they are FREE...its costs nothing, other than your time to monitor lines. GET THE BEST LINE, and be prepared to be FIRST in line...you will go from a 45-50% or less winner to a 53-55% winner simply by getting the best line and being at the front of the line. the other 4-6% squeeze to get to 60% winners (absolutely elite in this business) requires mastery of the art, and the willingness to dive in and crunch the numbers and put in the work. 

My style is different, most people are betting todays games at 3pm, I am betting tomorrows. I am playing chess, others are playing checkers...But for those who can keep up, pay attention, and focus on winning plays, your growing bankroll will thank you and you will have success.

those tools have been around forever, some books even show where the money is going, sort of takes the handicapping away, i mean apparently they are doing well, but are you not just betting what its saying others are betting? like when it shows 91% on 1 team to 9 % on the other or do you just look at the part that says line advantage +2.5  lets say, ive done over 60% last 3 years and thats using penn and paper , those things have been around awhile , soon the odds will get sharper, i have done well being ahead of the line moves without having to look at these tools ahead of time, but ya cannot knock something that has been doing well, but i am putting the work in, and not having a computer do it i guess for me, i enjoy doing it , i guess it's been working for ya   like i said  continued success , ill be peeking in..lol

I’ve been betting on sports for 17 years. I am as experienced as it gets. Do you realize how many on this forum are just getting into wagering for the first time, and their primary reason is because they saw a commercial for some +865467 same game parlay “easy winner” and they get their information from ESPN?

im not talking to you when I throw out tools and information, I’m talking to the novice. But to address you…

I am handicapping every thing mate. I’m not sure what you are referencing by “having a computer do it”. 

“takes the capping away”  WTF. I’m betting openers and I’m first in line  there is no handle % or bet %  mate. My bet is first  so I get the best line. What are you taking about here  

I suggest people get odds comparison tools to GET THE BEST odds.  If you refute that as a good idea than you clearly don’t know what you are doing long term, or you are not here in the best interest of our fellow bettors, many of whom don’t know what they are doing and are getting their betting information exclusively from Scott Van Pelt.

 Over the years. I have pried myself on being an outstanding college football handicapper. This year has been profitable but not my best season ever, I still have a robust futures portfolio that needs to shake out and I project going 10–4 or better in my regular season wins which are set to come in this week. Next. Over the years, successful in both, I do not bet or watch the NFL
