Well what a day yesterday was. Start off the day with 2 plays on the degen game of the year (N Texas/La Sierra) and hit both easily, then get kicked in the nuts by a last second 3pt shot by Florida and complete meltdown by Wash late last night. Ended the day going 2-2 and losing .54 units. Time to move onto todays large card. Tons and tons of games today so lots of capping to do. I have already locked in a some plays last night and I have some other leans. I'll be adding plays/leans through out the day.
We have a great match up today at the Kohl Center where the Badgers will host the Marquette Warriors. I'm not sure I'll have a play on this game, but I'll be doing a little write up for those of you that might want to play this game.

Well today we have a match up that I look forward to every year when Marquette travels to Madison to take on the in state rivals Wisconsin Badgers. This is a match up that gets played every season and it rotates locations every year. I think everyone knows I'm a Marquette homer (Dad is a Grad School Alumni and season ticket holder since 1968). I grew up going to Warriors games, but I will not base this write up on my Marquette Bias, but rather on my personal opinion on the out come.
We technically have a match up here that is of 2 teams with completely different styles of basketball. This is a similar match up (in styles) like we saw Tuesday night when the Badgers went to UNC and hung around with the Tarheels. Although Marquette doesn't have the size that UNC has, they play a similar stay of ball. For those of you that have had the chance to watch Marquette play you know they like to push the ball, beat you down the court for a bucket in transition. This is even after a made basket by the opposition. This is a team that is ranked 4th in scoring (88 ppg) and 4th in FG%. However do to them pushing the ball up the court they do turn the ball over at times. Defensively Marquette is ranked 45th in points allowed (59.5) and 14th in FG% at 35%. Although is isn't considered excellent, they will get in your face up and down the court and force turnovers.
I think people realize know that this Badger team is very well coached and very well disciplined. They play slow placed and work for baskets. They very rarely force anything and turn the ball over. This is the reason they win games and almost never get blown out. They are the 1 ranked team in defense allowing only 42.1 ppg, 32.1 FG% and 24.1% shooting from behind the arc. Although they did loss Jon Leuer this offense in no pushover and they are currently one of the best 3pt shooting teams in the nation (44.2%). They will pass the ball, set picks and look for the open man even if it uses the whole shot clock. Very rarely will they come down and fire up a 3pt shoot right away without passing 3-4 times. Their slow style of play and in your face defense causes teams fits and I expect them to play this way vs the up paced play of Marquette.
I expect this to be a dog fight (as it always is) till the end. This line opened at -7.5 was up to -8 at 5dimes and is now back down to -7.5. I lean the points today and I wouldn't play anything under -7.5 if it happens to drop lower due to Marquette love. I was hoping to get +8.5 or higher, so I might wait a bit and see what happens with this line before deciding if I want to play it or not. Also I saw someone post Marquette ML is a thread. I would not make this play. The Badgers very rarely lose at the Kohl Center. They since to lose 1 game a year at home and I think if any team beats them at home it will be Ohio State.
LEAN: MARQUETTE +8 / no total lean
Hope this helps someone of you.

Btw - I do not see a posted line yet for the La Sierra / LAM game at 5dimes which is tonight at 10:30 est. If this line is 20-25 I will most likely be playing LAM 1H and game.
