#15 Butler only 1.5 point favorite over St.Louis??????

If there was a top 25 today, STL would be in it. probably around 22-23. They also are very dangerous, and yes they did beat up Butler bad, but in Chafeitz. I do actually think the line should be closer to 3, but they won't give STL more than that, not in a game that might be played in the high 50's. Could be a dog fight.

in some ways this game is similar to the LaSalle/Temple game...you could argue who is better out of that, and Id have said Lasalle, and here, you COULD argue STL is better, but by a hair they probably are not. Very similar line too...I do think Butler finds a way to win

Just like La Salle last night where I got lucky to cover my +9.5 teaser, this game screams to be teased.  St Lou +10.5 seems like a tasty treat.

You guys keep thinking who is going to win straight up, I will count my cash.  Just like BYU, just like Cincy, just like Drexel, etc.

One thing I can almost guarantee tonight.....neither team is going to hit 75.

I respect your opinions on a10 basketball and agree this should be close game.  I do however believe slu is a better team than butler.  Most slu losses came early in the season adjusting to a new coach and without their senior leader Mitchell. They are a deep team with quick  guards...bigs that can bang and bigs that can stretch the floor.  Jett may be one of the best unknown players in the country as a 6th man.  He is a top flight defender with the ability to blow by and out strengthen most defenders.  The difference in this team and prior solid slu teams is their ability to score. They no longer have to win ungly low scoring games because these guys can score. This team is better than last years team that beat many people's sleeper in Memphis and almost knocked off mich st to get to the sweet 16.  They are a match up nightmare for most and I would not want to draw them come tourney time.  Having said all that butler is a solid team and playing at home so just sit back and enjoy this one fellas.  No need to throw the dart for this one.

There are no such things as trap games.

Two evenly matched teams offensively; near equal overall record and ATS record. Advantage to STL on defense and (huge) advantage to Butler in coaching with Stevens. On a neutral floor you would see a PK'ems. The homecourt makes Butler a justifiable slight favorite.

The line is exactly where it should be.

STL has had a lead of at least 17 points in 7 straight games.  Not just covering games,  but dominating games. Im on Butler too but thats a fair line. Butlers beat Indiana and gonzaga at home, they can get another big win here.

Stat that jumped out to me was 23 turnovers for butler in the first meeting. I expect that number to improve as well as them to play well at home. I like butler to win this game but can easily see it going the other way.

you guys are crazy. i have st louis winning this game. the line is right, i'm going to wait until game time to take st louis because maybe by theni can get +2.5 or +3. Im also going to be on the moneyline. St louis should be ranked. the only reason they aren't ranked is because of the fact they arent a popular team. Butler got some good wins early on in the season which has caused them to be over valued in this one. Point in proof is, a ton of you expected Butler to be favored by at least what, 5 or 6 right, the low line basically shows that vegas knows st louis is the better team hence they probably started with st louis -3 and then gave 5 to butler due to their home court. Hence -2 for butler. Either way, good luck to all which ever you choose, but if i bet this game, its st louis or no bet.
