Been a little down and avoiding college bball since syracuse went on its post season ban. Sad sad time as an orange fan and really hope they push jimmy b out.
No way cuse can compete with duke but with a crowd of 35k and a city looking at this as the last big game of the year they will keep it somewhat of a game. I just think duke will blow them out in the 2nd half. It will be in the first half if Xmas gets into early foul trouble. I am looking at a 72-60 duke win. Good luck to all

SJ, You are right with everything you said! Game will be close in the first half but Duke will pull away in the 2nd. I really hope AD Gross gets pushed out! That guy has done nothing for our school!

Thanks guys. Something needs to change in the program. Can't allow a coach to have to major infractions in 20 years. Also the AD gross needs to go as well. Overall he is a schmuck. For the question of who takes over it will be mike Hopkins. He has been the coach in waiting for 4 years. Personally I think he will change the Style from the boring zone to more up tempo. He is also a great recruiter. Cuse doesn't have to worry about finding a coach if Hopkins isn't the main. Coaches would give there left nut to coach at syracuse with 30k fans a game and the dome. I personally would love to see someone like Shaka or buzz Williams. Energy guys.

Been a Syracuse fan for 23 years now and am appalled by this statement about Boeheim. One down year in the last 7 seasons and you want to push Boeheim out?? How spoiled are us Syracuse fans?! The guy has been nothing but a winner and a class act to boot and is an ambassador of the game. Syracuse never has the elite recruiting classes (or resources/tradition) of a Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, etc. but year in and year out Boeheim fields a top 10 qualify program. Boeheim is constantly finding diamonds in the rough and lesser heralded prospects and turning them into lottery picks and 1st rounders through excellent player development. And when Boeheim gets an elite talent (Melo) you see the result...
The main reason we are down this year is Ennis drinking all the kool-aid and leaving a year early to play in the D League. McCullough's injury didn't help either not to mention Coleman not playing a second all season due to injury. With Cooney, Gbinje, McCullough, Coleman and Joseph returning next year Syracuse will be right back in the top 5-10...step off the ledge.
As for this scandal...this is chump change in today's NCAA. 20+ years and Boeheim has kept his nose largely clean. No sex scandals (Pitino) no vacated wins/chips for major recruiting violations (Calipari) and he hasn't made the school look completely foolish like at UNC with their academic scandals.
You're foolish if you think Boeheim is going anywhere before he collects his 1000 wins and he'll coach well beyond at Syracuse if he wants. Then Hopkins will take over when Boeheim rightfully leaves under his own terms.
Yes, this has been a frustrating season but have a little perspective on the larger picture of what Boeheim has done in the last 2 decades for the program and right back where we'll be next year.
