Just curious to get your thoughts here...why Ripple and Ether? Do you believe that they will be the platforms of choice moving forward, or feel that they have differentiated themselves from others currencies in another form? I work in IT and was interested in your thoughts.

  i likey but a shooting team may or may not take a half to catch fire so i like having 2 halves and if they are on fire in 1H they likely will continue and have already built a lead....plays posted later...just Az St game though now

bitcoin over an hour transaction time and cost 15-30$ on average and time and cost are going up....

ether takes 15 minute or less and costs 3-7$ and has smart contracts, ie. i can program it to send you 10k and release 1k/monthly...it has the type of functionatliy

XRP is by far and away the best for multiple reasons...
cost-fractions of a penny
transaction time, 4 seconds or less.
platform is ALREADY being used by AmEx and a network of hundreds of asian banks especially all the banks and government in Japan..... they are actively talking to governments and institutions to be used and are an actual company, whereas all other cryptos are not a company rather just a decentralized network of programmers programming and not trying to work with governments or institutions...no relationships

and IF/WHEN the US government tries to get involved, which they willl, XRP is already building those relationships and is less likely to get shut down, or be heavily regulated/taxed, as others will be since they are not butting in work to be  transparent

my two cents   but this is all public info, i do happen to have a college buddy that is an employee at ripple and has pointed out certain things to me, i.e. statistics/articles/news/ etc, full disclosure

for people looking for straight plays just take temple and cmu straight .... likely they win outright as opposed to covering just the 2 or 3 respectively..

Don't think the CMU play is right. They're favored by 10. I see -650 moneyline at bovada.

completely hypothetical recommendation......

40k xrp now @ $1 or under
40k ethereum now
40k bitcoin cash
40k bitcoin simply because its most well known
40k sit in cash for opportunistic buying like yesterdays/overnight plunge we saw in all

at this point i have roughly the same % allocation    i put 15k into ripple at .24 and another 10k between .50 and .79 so it's doing well at this point....i'm going to hold until at least $7.50, because that makes the market cap around 300 billion which is what bitcoin peaked at , approximately

i am an investment management consultant....have 3 of my own businesses...essentially just manage real estate and investments for a select group of hnw private clients.... mainly in CA and FL, a few other states but most states don't require registration or a business if you have below a certain threshold of clients, usually 5-6, and / or assets under management, usually 25-100MM within that state  so if you structure it right, you can operate simply as an s-corp or sole proprietor in your home state...CA sucks though bc you have to pay tax on worldwide income and state tax is 13.4% so effective tax bracket above 50%.... but now with trump tax cut, i can keep all money in my entities and my taxes go down substantially. gotta love it AMERICAAAAAA

Thanks....looking for someone to handle a portfolio about this size I plan to allocate to Crypto, so I don't miss the opportunity.  If you know anyone that specializes in this let me know.

Ped, you a stud.  Been tailing for a while. Sounds like you’re pretty smart guy. So I’m very interested to hear your opinion. How can you are such a firm believer in the long time price appreciation of these currencies? I work in finance and have a nominal understanding of them. trying to figure out whether to allocate some money to them from equities. Just so afraid the day I buy it they all just tail off to zero.  That said this pullback is seems like a great buying opportunity. And of course when everybody else is running for the exits that is always the best time to step in and start a position.

that's exactly what i do for accredited investors; I do discretionary portfolio management ...shoot me a message , we can work it out.... i have a corporate crypto account for this exact purpose of pooled client funds

or you can do it under your own account if more comfortable and you already have one open....a lot of the issue now is that no one can get an account open and verified to fund quickly.... over 100k+ users are opening accounts at all these exchanges daily...they don't have the bandwidth to open the accounts and keep up or literally even keep the site functioning...many sites have had extended outages...
