I have been having some trouble trying to get an account open to trade Ripple and other crypto currencies. Right now I am waiting on Gemini to verify my account. I have been a long time investor and think crypto currency are here to stay . Why else would Goldman Sacks be setting up trading platforms, $$$$. Interesting how Buffet and others seem to push it aside as a scam . Better to be early to the game than late. I am looking to enter Ripple in the $1.50 -$1.75 range. Thanks for your input.
$1.50/$1.75? That was last month's price. But you should still jump in sooner, rather than later.

Captain Obvious to the rescue. You seem to have a talent for this particular skill as you do this over and over in various threads. Why not just not say anything?...there is nothing of benefit to anyone by your pointedly stating facts that everyone is aware of...other than trying to be snarky to Pedersen.
Especially when someone has a bad night. Jeez...
PM for the skinny on the down low

Do some research on Ripple. I personally wouldn't invest a penny on cryptos that are not decentralized. It defeats the purpose. Besides, just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's good value. People think Ripple will get to hundreds or thousands of dollars. Ripple will never reach $10.

I don't know what is going on with Kraken but I think it's ridiculous for an exchange to be down this long. Did they even give a notice about this maintenance? What if someone had a buy or sell limit? Were those executed or just sitting there until it's back online.

No notice, that I'm aware of...the site was a bit buggy so maybe this helps...but that's a long time time to be down.
Threads elsewhere about class action suits, regarding trade issues...My stuff is just sitting so not a big deal, though I would have bought a bit more XRP on that dip.

Defeats what purpose? Do you really think people are buying bitcoin or any crypto because they are decentralized? Don't kid yourself, most people are buying it as an investment cause it's making them money.
I don't think it will ever reach $100 either considering that there are a 100 billion of these in existence and Ripple actually holds 61% of it is. How do we know when and if they decide to start unloading them?

The class action suit I read about was in regards to a margin liquidation of ether, when there was a flash crash. Apparently, ether crashed nearly 70% and his margin holdings were liquidated and ether rebounded almost all the way back later that day. His claiming that there was some sort of attack on the site that caused the crash so his blaming Kraken for not halting trades. At least that's what I believe is the lawsuit.

I don't know how anyone can buy cryptos using margin. The amount of volatility makes it very risky. If you do use margin, I would suggest limiting it to no more than 20% max.

pretty ridiculous that its been down since what, wednesday at 10 pm pst? or longer?
I have over 6 figs in there, so yes, I am concerned. I'd be crazy not to be somewhat concerned. This is the 3-4th time it's been down for an extended period without any warning...quite disconcerting.
I have opened an account at bitstamp, however it is now pending verification. When KRAKEN comes back online.....I'll transfer half to bitstamp to diversify at 2 exchanges just for this reason moving forward. Absolutely no concern with RIPPLE/XRP though. There are several more partnerships coming down the line....just hold.... I also am going to buy some STELLAR LUMENS/XLM because it is quite similar to XRP, but will buy a smaller portion. XRP is so far ahead of everyone that it has a significant competitive advantage, plus it is back by all the right VC/PE firms that have huge connections in financial services worldwide, thus it is in great shape moving forward.
