What's happenin, fellas? Coming off a 3-0 sweep last night, continuing the winning streak. i see a couple plays i like a lot today.
i don't know how many of you are familiar with the stock market, but i treat the very morning like the opening bell of the futures market. this is the reason why i will wait so long to make a bet. the first 30 minutes of trading after the opening bell is amateur hour. not to say people don't make money doing it, because i know some that do, but it's too volatile for my blood. it's where the big guys are moving around the markets, doing wtf they do. this is by far the most dangerous time to trade, in my opinion. i call it amateur hour. the market is whippin' around in a roller coaster of emotions and making big volume shifts.
similar to the stock market, and again this is all in my perspective, is the bettor's market. i'll never chase a steam play when i first begin capping games in the morning. more times than not, that number you're betting or watching doesn't even really matter, (hence the reason why i seldom buy points). because of this, also more times than not, you'll end up catching a bad number. so, i wait to see where the numbers move before i make my move. not only that, i have noticed that over the years, you can catch a far better number waiting for joe public to get off work when the number start shaking around again at like 3-4 o'clock.
anyways, on to today. i really don't like this wisconsin team. i think they are extremely overrated. they don't look motivated, uncoordinated, easily frustrated, and rely heavily on a guy that can't make free throws and who's only shot is a left handed hook. if this team can't sink threes and happ is contained, they're screwed because of how poor their point distribution is. almost all of their offensive stats lie in the bottom half of the ncaa. just goes to show the lack of talent in the league this year. no clue how these guys remain int he top 25. maybe it's because they're playing in a dogshit conference that is completely beat up with injuries?
nevertheless, it's their senior night and they're playing a slumping iowa hawkeyes team who now has no head coach for the night. these guys just lost at home to friggin' rutgers. over the course of hte entire in conference season, iowa has barely squeaked out victories against some very bad teams that were int he middle of very bad slumps. with everything, factored in, i don't think they're gonna be up for the energy that the kohl center will be offering. i don't have a lot of stats to back me up on this one, more of a situational spot than anything else. so, after a long bad mouthing rant about the badgers, i'll be laying th epoints with them tonight. i would love to see 6 for some assurance points. betonline is already offering 6.5 so i will wait
i'm going to see if i can find something for these day games for some action while i'm at work, but i won't be forcing anything either. good luck today everyone! more plays to come in a bit!
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing
