The Tritons are a good story.. finally gaining traction in the D1 space off to their best start (7-1 big west) that is tied with the Aggies and UCI.. Davis handed Irvine their only loss last time out and the one in Irvine went to OT resulting in 3 point loss, but cover.
But styles make fights.. this Davis team is built a lot more like that Irvine team that gave UCSD fits.. Davis wants to defend (2nd in big west) .. more importantly they defend the 3 point line and that is what the tritons are looking to do. If you defend the 3 point line you will beat this UC san Diego team and it seems they are starting to get a little taxed.. they struggled throughout that Thursday night game vs UCR trailing most of the night before a last second win and their top 3 players logged 34+ minutes (quick turnaround) .. Davis will counter with the two best guard combo in the conference Pepper and Ty Johnson who combine for about 38 per game.
I see this aggie team, who hasn't played in a week, come out motivated knowing the lead in the conference is on the line and take care of business with a win and cover.
