Am I wrong to take a shot with St.Johns to win the regional and the championship with St.Johns?

I took a shot with rick Pitino and his team earning a chance in the tournament and playing extremely well as of late.

50 to win in the regional east at a plus 650

50.00 to win potential payout $375.00

And 50.00 to win championship potential payout 1,250.00

Odds to win championship +2400

I'm not the best at handicapping college but from what I'm gathering this ticket and most importantly this team with it's head coach has a shot with these inviting odds.

Thoughts?

 Been awhile since either of these teams have won the championship and even though we may both be on the wrong end of our picks.... I'm always rooting for the underdog so good luck with your Michigan play bud .

Both teams have the biggest red flag for a 1-2 seed which is being unranked preseason. Good luck with your bets but St Johns and Michigan State are fades. There are teams out there that meet championship criteria and have zero red flags. Those are the teams you should be targeting to run deep in this tournament and possibly win. 8 teams meet the championship criteria...  they are Duke, Florida, Tennessee, Iowa State, Maryland, Clemson, Kansas and Ole Miss.

Saw a stat earlier that in last 25 years, 88% of final 4 teams have had top 50 O’s and D’s in KenPom’s efficiency metrics. St John’s O is outside the top 50..
