Maryland looks decent. They beat Illinois on the road recently, gave Northwesten everything they had in a narrow defeat. Lost at home to Mich St in a battle. Iowa doesn’t have a lot on the interior to bang with Reese. If Maryland could get anything from someone other than Young, Scott or Reese they could win this one outright. Coach Mac’s kid was out for Iowa last game. Status is still uncertain so that could factor in also.

Iowa's Patrick McCaffery (ankle) is available for today's game against Maryland, per a school spokesman. Has not played since 1/12.

+325...San Jose State shooting @20% better than NM from behind the circle last 3 games. They could surprise the Lobos who aren't nearly as strong away from the Pit.
Aub & Villy are two good teams at @140. Prov is +155 but they have injuries.

Played out the way I suspected. Maryland is going to be that team the rest of the way that plays every game close. They’re a good, not great team, with zero bench, but 3 legit scorers and a stud guard and stud interior option. So the end result will often depend on the final 2 minutes. Not the best team to back if you have a shallow stomach. But if you can dig in and don’t mind grinding out a result, they’re going to be a tough team here through now and Feb as they fight for their tourney life.
