Yeah Clemson is the one that sticks out to me. Wonder if there’s ever been another team to finish top 3 in a power conference and not make the tourney. 

Not really this was a weird season I see teams like Mich st and ASU that shouldn't be in but don't think there is anyone you can really replace them with?  This Tourney is wide open

Well u can't fade UNC as they declined an NIT bid....I guess they are too good for that...How about playing the younger guys if the older upper classmen did not want to play...

Clemson only has 1 win against a ranked teams but to their case they didn't face many ranked teams this season even tho they have several wins over teams that are in the Tourney like Penn St, Duke, etc...  So not really their fault who they play but that loss to LIU was a very bad loss on their resume

Texas AM was a real screw job last year and they were laying 21 to Alcorn St in the NIT and only won by 12

I can tell you as a UNC fan as historically bad as it was we just want to put this awful season behind us completely.  I don't think any player would have shown up in the NIT

Rutgers was the biggest snub

agree Rutgers got screwed, had to do with Mawot Mag going down.

Not a power conference, but in 2014 SMU was ranked #25 and tied for second in the AAC and didn't make the tournament.

Vanderbilt was 14 - 8 in conference play (recent play is much more important than non conference games played 4 months ago) and Vandy defeated 9 - 10 Miss.St. in their only game a week ago.

9 - 10 Miss. St. plays in First Four.

14 - 8 Vandy relegated to NIT

Vandy was 13 - 8 in conference play

I'm not quite feeling any team got screwed like Texas AM last year

Hard to feel sorry for anyone given how this is the worst field in the history of the 64-68 team field. Never has the collection of one seeds and top 16 seeded teams been so incredulously weak. Purdue did deserve a one seed based on the options, but not long ago, their results as well as doing the eye test, would have suggested they are closer to a #4 seed. Not impressive the last two months at all. And it trickles down all the way. Iowa was good enough to warrant an 8? The same Iowa team that lost at home to Eastern Illinois and FOUR freaking times combined to Nebraska and Ohio State!? Four times!!! Having said that, Vanderbilt belonged in before shitty-ass NC State.

based on resume, rutgers deserved in over Nevada. beat ind, @pur, MD, nw, psu, msu...not saying those are all powerhouse wins but they're all tournament teams. Nevada has only 3 wins vs tourny teams, bsu, sdst, Utah st, all at home. they have 0 top 50 wins away from home and lost 3 straight to end season. not only should Nevada not be in, I had them NEXT 4 out...bol

just to add, committee guy said rutgers just wasn't the same team after major injury and he's right. most of those wins came with that player in lineup. i feel okla st deserved spot over Nevada.

You are kidding right? They have no quality wins..0-1 vs Quad 1 teams and that was the loss to Kent St in the ship game..Case closed..
