I paid for a lock club subscription through atswins.com just over a week ago for $1000 until the end of the NBA finals. They have lost me over $1000 and are 0-4 the last 2 days. They said they were predicting 100 units of profit which is the biggest line of B.S. I have ever heard. The highest they were at was +10 units but have most fluttered between -4 and +4. Biggest waste of money ever. DO NOT pay for their service as they are probably the worst handicapping business in the world. I can't even break even with their bets they've given and I could've picked the games better myself, and actually didn't bet on a few games because I thought they were too terrible...

Anybody else have a similar experience with the same or a different company???

Never pay anybody for picks period........Everybody goes on hot and cold streaks..........If there really was somebody out there that could win consistently they would be multi millionaires and would not need your money.

    Ignore @VJWAO an_laugh

    Listen to @MikeMedpeace_5

-Any gambler who had figured out an advantage over the sportsbooks would never share their secret with the public, no matter how much people offered to pay... It would be too valuable.  Wake up and do your own handicapping.

Those companies don’t make money off their picks, they make money off new bees who believe in their sales pitch

Are there good services out there that cost?  I'm sure

Are these services and their net win % worth the cost?  Maybe

The chances are you can find the legit ones thru all the fakes that get on a run and want to charge for picks?  Very slim

That industry is primarily about marketing more so then how much they truly win.

You thought their prediction of 100 units of profit was B.S. yet you still shelled out $1000 to them?

    Live and learn I guess.

Most cappers are clueless. especially when they play too many games.

Stick to Maxdalury. His 5 unit plays are the best investment you will ever to make. He was publicly documented as he posted them all for public last yer and his 5 unit play went undefeated. So far this year he is undefeated in 5 unit plays. He doesn't play many 5 unit plays, avg about 2 a month. But his 5 unit plays comes with his all other plays too which can be good as fillers. His other plays are not as good but its good time filler but don't give them same weight. For example, if you play his 5 unit plays as 5% his 4 unit play shoudln't be 4%, it should be more like 0.4% and unit as 0.3% and 2 unit as 0.2%.

ATS the worst! However, if you buy their plays, fade them. More often than not they lose, some games not even close. Many years ago they were OK but lost a lot of good cappers since the recession in 2009 and have never been the same. Their marketing is very good but they lie. Every time I read their ads they are winning but when I buy their picks they lose! Appreciate the post buddy! Cheers

there's too much GOLD free information out there to buy picks.. and expensive picks at that. everyone is looking at the same stats, bro. don't worry, most people out there have. sh*t, when i first started years ago, i paid incarcerated bob and "randizzle" 600 bucks because his website has MASSIVE numbers in the positive. then a week went by and randizzle lost like "25k" in a week. but he made the week back in the plus side by continuing to bet 5k bets. now most people don't have those kinds of funds. it's all marketing schemes. incarcerated bob don't got a pot to piss in. i learned very quickly to do my own work

got way off track. moral of the story: don't buy touts picks. i honestly think people only buy them for the security of someone telling you THIS IS THE PICK AND THAT'S IT vs. reading through info on both sides of the fields and going with your gut. if i were you, i would never purchase a pick again
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

I feel that if any tout is claiming to be winning at 60 or 70 percent why would they do anything but place there own bets and just clean up .I feel the same thing applies to the real estate touts which hold expensive  real estate seminars all over the US .I feel if there real estate system is so good why are they just not following there own system and making there 30 or40 percent profit that some of them claim an investor can make

This situation is very similar to the decision to use a stock broker. Have I ever used a stock broker? Yes. When I was very young, just getting started in investing, I used a broker. What I realized (besides two of his "plays" that went bankrupt) is that the fees were eating me alive and that I could do better on my own by not paying fees.

Using a sports service fee is akin to paying a stock broker 1.5% of your total assets per year to have your money in a mutual fund. You would be shocked how many people do this. If you have a $1,000,000 account with a broker charging 1.5% a year of total assets, you will pay $150,000 in fees over a 10 year period EVEN IF THE MARKET DOES NOT GO UP! Why do that when you can pay 0.1 or 0.2% in a Vanguard fund. The choice will save you as much as $140,000 over 10 years.

Paying for sports service fees where you are already laying 5% vig or God forbid, 10% vig is financial suicide. Anyone preaching differently has an agenda. PERIOD!

the best method i have found is to find a VERY bad capper and bet against his plays. there are several that post in the contests. research them and bet against them. some are so bad you can sell points for positive odds and STILL profit.

Just an fyi I use to have a friend work at a similiar service and they use to give every other caller the opposite side so they would retain at least 50pct of their clientele

Max is down about 33 Units since he started charging for picks Jan 1st. He has had 2 "graded" 5 unit plays so far this year and his average is just over 1 a month (going back to when he was free from MAY 2017 until now). Hardly worth $500/month he charges for picks.

You paid $3,000 for his picks for the 2018 year at that discount he offered in December - yet his monthly players are receiving for free - because he is getting trounced. "his all other plays too which can be good as fillers." - Can you really say that?

Being down over 30 units now and not having that update on his website (funny how his record stops on Feb 3rd) speaks volumes as to what seemed a pretty legit handicapper.

Why don’t you try rx forum service plays for free. Sometimes you can get good info on what services are playing certain games for free. This way you never have to pay a dime. The site was a lot better years ago.

Imagine this - put yourself in this spot. You have a magic spreadsheet that is a front end for a sports database and the spreadsheet is predicting 60% vs the spread.

What do you do? Sell these picks on line? Enter a contest and get fame and fortune?

I would think anyone with half a brain would be working on ways to get down enough action through various means and outs so as to not get cut off, travelling with a crew of "tourists", spreading out your plays through offshore and wherever, trying to stay under the radar.

Or if you are going to "sell" your picks you partner up with a Billy Walters or some sort of syndicate where you share in the profits - not become some cheeseball website 900 number tout hijuepúta.

Think about it - let's be serious here.

I find the time to study, do research and make my own picks!

And some of the posters here on covers (and in the covers contests), are just as good, if not much better than those rip-off sports services
