Louisville is the better team
That means nothing. For starters, Michigan is #1 in the country in fouls against (meaning they don't foul) so obviously there will be a difference in fouls. The issue was that is was a 6 pt game and here are just a few obvious bad calls:
1. Missed goaltend
2. Hancock should have had his 4th with 11:02 left
3. Burke Block
These are just obvious BLOWN calls. Not hacking or grabbing, or pushing. Just the blatant blown calls. All of this adds up to an entirely different game. Now throw in all of the rest of the bad calls... there are too many to list.
I won't say that the officials "cost" Michigan the game only because I hate when people do that. I will say that the officials didn't allow Michigan an opportunity to win the game the way they did Louisville.
It is obvious (and I say this for both teams) that the officiating was absolutely horrendous. One of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. Again, both ways. McGary kicked a ball in front of evverybody and there was no call. It meant nothing in the game but nonetheless. How can you miss something like that. That is unforgivable that all 3 guys missed that. The Burke block and the Deng goaltend were equally bad. They just happened to both be against Michigann (as did the majority).
This is just my take. By the way, I took 'Ville ML HUGE. I am willing to spend good money to watch Michigan win a NC. This helps sooth the pain! So I am not that bitter, but that ius what I saw.
