thought it would be good to have a thread dedicated to games and thoughts for this tournament as it starts tomorrow and Im sure a lot of yall will be looking for info from the greats (not me).
1st initial thoughts is on UConn. they really got something going last game with the man back and feel that they should cover tomorrow knowing that they have to make a decent run to have the shot. the 8.5 isnt too much of a line for them to overcome to DePaul.
Pitt vs St Johns. just dont know yet about the 5.5. St Johns at home on MSG. I feel Pitt is the better team but they have been so up and down.
Providence vs Seton Hall. Must win for Seton Hall. after last's games god awful performance and beat down, being on the outside looking in, Seton Hall has to win this game. However, Providence isn't that bad of a team. They have really started playing decent past few games and stand a chance to cover 5.5 or even win SU.
Rutgers vs Nova...no thoughts currently.
Would love to get a nice thread started for the BET so all information on games and thoughts are in one place.
Best of Luck to everyone and lets make something with this

@WallStreet... whats your angle with Rutgers and St Johns (homecourt)?
@Billy...glad to see you in here. respect your capping. hoping some of the others get in here too. I think Uconn is a good bet. They may have something to get it done at least for a few rounds. WIll be on them as well tomorrow. thoughts on any others yet?

@ UT... leaning your way as well.

When I first saw the UCONN line -8.5 I thought I was going to hammer them. However, they are atrocious ATS away so I am on Depaul. This UConn team isn't anywhere near the team they had last year that made their run starting in the BE tourney.

noon game - no play...upstart depaul, inconsistent uconn probably sleep walks into the garden
pitt -5.5 (ashton gibbs > five freshman)
providence +5.5 (seton hall playing tight)
ru +2 (revenge game. ru couldn't throw it in the ocean, freshman will play big on big stage, day 1 has a local flavor, the garden should be more amped than normal for tuesday action

Ha this is true. Initial thoughts are just that UConn has to win and they know this. They played pretty damn well last game and hoping it continues tomorrow.

hark is pretty damn good though man. StJohns at home is always rough, especially in tourney.
could see Nova get it going if they get their starters back playing. Rutgers heavy fouls sometimes and doesnt always defend the 3.

I love Nova and would also like to hear why Jfen likes Rutgers so much? Why? revenge from last Nova game loss? just curious even though I could probably not be talked out of Nova unless you told me a starter was out for Nova or somethin.

Took DePaul +9 for 5* - So UConn has to win, so what... you think DePaul isn't going to at least try? They beat UConn and it's a huge story plus they're coming of their best game of the year and this DePaul team can fill it up!
Took St. John's +6 (-120) for 5* - Love this play, especially since it's at MSG and the Red Storm will be pumped after getting crushed at Pitt. Nice spot for St. John's.
Leaning Providence, but have yet to pull the trigger. Waiting for 6 or more. Seton Hall isn't a very good team and will be tight.
Leaning Rutgers +2 as well... hoping I can buy to +3. Rutgers should have fans at this game, can't say anyone will be cheering for a pathetic Villanova team.
So like every Underdog, hope they're barking!

agree with you Guru. I think Nova is my initial lean right now. getting their starters back could play something. They have the "easiest" road to a shot at the title. Rutgers can get in foul trouble quite easily and with the quick PG's I could see that happening. Nova gets some 3s going and it could be a long game. just my cents...hopefully itll turn into some dollars.
PDiddy...i Could see St Johns keeping the game close. Getting Harkless going would be needed. MSG plays a crucial role in all of their games. Havent been outstanding during the year there but tourney time is a different matter. Out of the 3...this may be the 1 i want to sit out most. still got 12+ hours though to decide
