The other part of this is that normally his book might be only willing to let him bet $5000, which is the limit or risk tolerance the Sportsbook is willing to lose in this particular game but since he’s got 4000+ people betting the other way, the Sportsbook is willing to give him 100k because they now have action on both sides and can just take their guaranteed 20% no risk.
