Monday morning takes us to Maastricht for a clash between MVV and Jong Ajax.
One aspect that appeals to me about this game is Maastricht's recent six game stretch in which every game has had 2 goals or fewer. Overall, they are very much an "over"ish home team with an average of 3.36 goals/game. They're more than overdue for an "over" game and no better place to do it than with the league's 3rd highest gpg team, Jong Ajax.
Jong Ajax games average nearly 4 goals on the road. They've conceded 2+ goals in 12 out of 14 road games. They've also had 10 straight games involving at least 3 goals.
In the end, neither of these teams play much defense (49 conceded by Jong Ajax and 50 by MVV in 29 games).

Heck Charlotte has been in a tear when playing at home in like their last 6-7 games. Average nearly 120/game. Dallas is slumping. Falling hard and clinching that last playoff spot in the West. I also don't see how this game stays close considering how these 2 teams have looked in the last 5-6 games as Dallas is trending up and Charlotte is trending down. Looking at playing Charlotte at home as well...the initial line drop from 7.5 to 5.5 also has me perplexed. Dallas cannot stop dominant big men...Charlotte possesses one in Al Jefferson. This game just spits blowout of the 120-105 variety. Charlotte hasn't played stellar defense of late...nor do they usually anyways. So making the century mark for Dallas shouldn't be a problem. Only thing that keeps me making Charlotte a money play is the Dallas history IN Charlotte.

I spent a lot of time looking at that Utah Jazz game. Be aware, Gordon Hayward is OUT for the Jazz. They were rather offensively challenged with him in the starting lineup. Doubt things will improve with him out.
Cleveland looks like the easy winner here, yet how motivated are they? They just crushed a marque team like the Clips on national TV. Now a day later they play a struggling and injured Jazz team that few will care to watch.
I admit I bit and have some money riding on Cavs just because they are on fire and when they get on streaks like these Lebron and Co usually like to keep them going for the whole road trip. I also bet the under 194.5 as Jazz only hope is to really slow the pace down and try to play great defense. Cavs likely won't be very motivated to run up the score too much. I also took 1st half under 98.5 and both team totals under Cavs 99.5 and Utah 94.5
Other than that, I spent a LOT of time capping the Minny/Phoenix game thinking I had a good angle to exploit. In the end though and 90 minutes later...nope! Nothing. I hate when that happens!

When USC stopped doing the book work on this thread, people were calling about some one to continue his work on this thread, I did consider stepping up to do it, but I was pretty sure it would be a formidable task to do.( I thank you again for all your effort) While I was considering to take over this task , I tried to think of ways to make it easier to do. In reference to a posting above, where you mentioned you could not Find the poster's $$$$ signs in his posting to credit his score, I have a suggestion that I think will help you as well as all of the followers of this thread.The solution would to insert a form that could be "Copy and Pasted" at the start of all contributors game selections. The predators are currently on a 2 game losing streak and really need to get a win here against the Oilers. They lost 2 games that they should of picked up points.
The Predators are 4-1 in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest and 5-2 in their last 7 vs. Western Conference. The Oilers are 5-2 in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest and 19-70 in their last 89 vs. Western Conference. The Predators are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.
I just think the Oilers are going through the motions and just want to get past these last 12-13 games they have left and really try to figure there stuff out next season.
While the Preds are in a playoff spot and can't be dropping points against teams not sitting anywhere close to a playoff spot.

@mrukyj I like the idea of having a standard form people would cut and paste to precede their pick but I have a feeling not all people would adopt it. Definitely something to consider though.
