I know this will sound derogetory, however, I do not mean it in that way. I am merely trying to understand and that is why I ask. How can you have any team that is your 'home' team or your 'favorite' or any team that you are emotionally tied to in any way shape or form and still be successfull at gambling. That emotional tie would skew my viewpoint immensly when wagering in that sport

REASON FOR PICK: This is an "ESPN PRIME-TARGET" on Kansas State.
The 49ers are 7-5 overall (just 1-5 on the road), and are coming off a 64-43 win at Auburn on December 23rd.
Larry Anderson had 16 points; Eugene Phelps and Casper Ware chipped in 13 each.
T.J. Robinson grabbed nine boards.
Note though that LBSU is just 18-20 ATS its last 38 when playing the roll of favorite.
The Wildcats are 9-1 and are coming off a 78-70 win over UTEP on December 23rd, part of the Diamond Head Classic.
Angel Rodriguez had 16-points; Jamar Samuels chipped in 10 points and 12 boards.
Note that K-State is 6-5 ATS in its last 11 non-conference games.
This is the championship game of this tournament.
K-State enjoys significant matchup advantages (note that it held a 39-21 rebounding advantage, including 18-6 on the offensive end vs. UTEP last time out).
K-State has four players averaging in double figures; LBSU has three in double figures.
There are enough factors working for the Wildcats to warrant a play of this size!
This is what a friend of mine says, but I don't trust him cause he's fading

As I stated, it probably was going to sound bad asking that question, however, that was not my intent so I apologize if that is how it was perceived. It goes a lot further than 'not betting your team'. It also you means that you can not bet on any team in the Big 12 because they are battling your team for a position in the Conference. It also means that you can not bet on any team that has or will play K St because (potentially) at a sub conscious level they are the enemy. It means that you could be emotionally swayed against a team that beat K St this year, last year, the year before. The list goes on and on of potential emotional pitfalls that could be in your path. If you can be successful at gambling and still have a favorite team then my hats off to you. I stopped having a favorite team/city 20 years ago
