Phase 1 - Elimination Style:
-Starting with the first round of 64 teams (the play in games are not eligible but the winning teams are) entrants will choose 8 teams to win straight-up. -In the second round of 32, entrants will pick 4 teams to win straight-up. -In the Sweet 16 round, entrants will pick 2 teams to win straight-up. -In the Elite 8 round, entrants will pick 1 team to win straight-up. -Sounds easy? Well, here's the tricky part as you cannot pick the same team more than once! -PICKS FOR EACH ROUND MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE THE START OF THE FIRST GAME IN EACH ROUND. -Entrants will need to participate in every round to move onto the second phase.
Phase 2 - Points:
-Those who make it to the Final Four unscathed will then have to pick the winners of the final four games and championship game. -Picks must be submitted before the first final four game. -The final four games are worth five points each; the winning pick will count as 10 points. -Tiebreaker, choose the points total for the championship game.
Other Contest Rules:
-If a game is cancelled, regardless of whether it's in the middle of a round, entrants can choose another team as replacement. -All picks must be posted in this thread. -One entry per person, if we find out a user has multiple accounts with submissions in the contest, all entries will be null and void -Due to the unforeseen impacts of COVID-19 on international shipping, we do not mail non-cash prizes outside of the United States and Canada. If you are located outside of the United States and Canada we will subsidize any apparel won for Covers Experts credit. -Limit of one prize per household. -Winners will also be sent an email to the email address associated with the account they made their winning picks with. -Covers reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation. -Covers Swag pack includes: Covers hoodie, hat, and t-shirt.

This contest is a lot tougher than you think. Last year almost everyone was out after the first 8 picks. Good luck to all. Thank you to ColinMac for doing this again. It really is a lot of fun.

@ColinMac can I get a confirmation on scoring, please. Rounds 64/32/16/8, all correct picks are worth 1 point. then 5 points final 4, 10 finals. correct?
There's no points for the earlier rounds. It's elimination. If you lose you're out.

What @kidSWIGZ3 said, Phase 1, which includes rounds 64-8 is strictly a straight-up suicide elimination style pool with no points for wins. Phase 2, which includes the final four and championship games, is when the points kick in. 5 points for final four games and 10 points for the championship game. Tie-breaker is total points in the championship game.

No worries fellow Canuck! Yes that's correct. Unless we go a round with nobody receiving a perfect record then next best record players will move on. Also, only using a team once in Phase 1!
