Did anyone see the end of the Davidson vs. Rhode Island game???

Question

I grab Rhode Island off one of the most embarrassing program losses ever, a 30 point loss to +2. “What a bargain” I think! Was going to play the ML but with my luck lately let me take the basket just in case.

RI plays exactly as capped. Lead from 17:13 of the first the whole way.

Then up 61-55 with 29 seconds on the clock (I’m up EIGHT with the spread.

And here is how the game ended:

:29 Foul on Davidson

RI misses one and one

Davidson Layup. 61-57.

Foul on Davidson.

RI misses one and one.

Davison layup and foul. FT made. 61-60.

Foul on Davidson

RI misses one and one

:03 Davisson layup and foul. FT made 63-61.

RI misses 3 pointer.

Are you fu**ing kidding me??? A 9-0 run to end the game and all FT‘s missed by RI under 30 seconds and 2 And 1’s made and I PUSH.

I&#x27;ve had a ton of improbable sports betting bad beats in my life, it seems like they outnumber the lucky wins by a ratio of at least 3 to 1, but I kind of doubt it.  In the time of Julius Caesar, the Roman statesman/writer Marcus Cicero had a quote---"We forget our pleasures, we remember our sufferings"---I&#x27;ve likely been extremely lucky on winning sports bets more often than I realize or will care to admit.

mike I&#x27;ve been betting my entire life as well and that is a ridiculously obtuse statement if you are trying to make it seem like this a daily or even weekly occurrence. It happens, however a 9-0 run to end a game where a team misses ALL their free throws, the other converts two and ones and wins and covers to end it is rare.Props to BigD for adding to the conversation with an ever so enlightening emoji.Daddy, it was the wrong side. Scal, with all due respect - it was a sucker line from the get go. I would have thought with your experience you&#x27;d seen that. I know hindsight is 20/20, but the line being off was screaming Davidson. Not a know it all here, just telling you what I honestly saw from the start.

Reminds me of being on the other side of a bad beat when KANSAS

beat MEMPHIS in the final game.

Memphis was up by 9 with less than 2 minutes to go and Kansas

won in OT.

We won $1060 from a March Madness radio contest.

There was one other guy who picked Memphis and we actually

felt bad for him!

I don't think you can top this RI game though. Wow.

sorry bud...bad beat for sure, i luckily was on the other side (Davidson -1.5).  I felt it was payback from the beat i took on Louisville ML the night before vs UVA!  BOL today!
