3 ETSU students were accused of filing false reports on armed robberies this week on campus? This has resulted in Sheldon Cooley, one of ETSU's best guards to be arrested and suspended from the team. Cooley was a huge part of ETSU's wins against UNF earlier this season. This arrest has not only caused a huge distraction in the team chemistry, but watching the team practice you can also see a lack of motivation with Cooley gone and the team knowing they would be facing Belmont if they won. This is a COMPLETELY different team from the beginning on the season and expect it to show tomorrow.

East Tennessee State won twice last week to earn the fourth seed for this week's conference tournament, but that wasn't the story. Adam Sollazzo scored the 1,000thpoint of his career on Feb. 25, but that wasn't the story.

Instead, controversy swirled around the Buccaneers' program after a Tuesday night armed robbery in which Sollazzo and injured forward J.C. Ward were reportedly bound and gagged at their campus apartment by three men.

Teammate Sheldon Cooley was also a victim, according to a police report he filed that said he was robbed of $1,300. But on Feb. 23, hours before ETSU hosted Stetson, Cooley was arrested and charged with filing a false police report.

Good info on the arrest. All should keep in mind that this is the conference tourney. Every team will be motivated..Here (IMO) are ETSU top three:

1. Conference Tourney/Chance to dance (all teams)

2. Lost last year to UNF at the same tourney

3. They've owned UNF for at least 9 of 10

ETSU is a driving/inside team while UNF prefers to chuck 3's. If the 3's fall at about 40% UNF wins. Other than that. ETSU will..BOL

ETSU...if anything I&#x27;ll see the line move up. that guard is 5th on the team in scoring and a turnover machine. they are better off without him, and if he lies to the police, then the team is probably happy to be rid of such a scumbag.

You are right, he was a scumbag, but Adam Sallazzo, the teams top scorer was also held and gun point and tied up.  It didn&#x27;t seem to affect him too much because a couple of days later he lead to team to a victory against FGC, but who knows...
