That was greed on your part. You could have said "no" to that 1 point change which in this case made the difference between winning and losing. thumbs_down

I've said it before and I'll say it again "Live betting is the crack cocaine of sports betting.." Every line looks like a winner.. Learn to stay away from it.. an_shake

As I say this of course I had multiple live bets placed today haha, but i agree with above posts, I hate it

i was listening to a podcast and they had an old bookmaker, richie baccellieri, on who started up some of the first live betting algo&#x27;s for a lot of the major offshore&#x27;s. he said you will always be at a disadvantage because the books have a direct feed to the game, as if they were sitting right there, so you will always have a 6-10 second delay from what you are seeing on tv. the only live betting that should be done is during timeouts or delays in the game, otherwise you are betting against something that the books have already seen happen

the only time I would live bet is if I had lets say for example, Minny -4.5. if early in the 1st half (1st 10 min) I can get minny at around 2 possession points ill bet another unit on it

&#xA;this is true. It feels like they are faster than you at predicting the outcome ,especially at the last few mins of the game. They tease you with some juicy "amazing lines" but you end up losing usually.

same. the only time i will play a live bet is if i didn&#x27;t bet the original full game already. i&#x27;m not live betting for a bail out because that will land you in a massive hole. the same goes for second half plays. for basketball, and primarily nba, i&#x27;l wait for a margin of about 15-20 points, and then put a live bet on, usually when it&#x27;s on a dog. most times i&#x27;m not even watching the game because the nba is such a joke of a league. kidn of coincides with what unc was sayingayashi - it&#x27;s not that they&#x27;re faster than you at predicting.. they have already SEEN what happens before you. this is much like day trading. high frequency traders, institutions, and market manipulators have a direct feed coming from the exchange, which will always leave the average retail trader with a massive disadvantage because of how far off they are delayed. you are betting on something that the books have already seen happen. what you are seeing on tv has about a 10 second delay to what the books have seen already. think of it as though the books are sitting on the sidelines watching the game. you are at home. it takes time for that feed to get to your home whereas they have seen the outcome already. it&#x27;s no coincidence that the OP got a bogus line here. their algo had alreayd picked up on possibly three plays ahead of what the OP saw before he decided to bet, and adjusted.
