Hello hello, today's the day! The NCAA tourney officially tips off with the First Four play-ins and I couldn't be more excited. Emotions rise as the clock ticks. Who will be victorious? Only time can tell..
Richmond +5 (-110) - W
Western Kentucky +2 (-110) - W
Posted Record: 19-11 (63.3%)
Quick recap. Richmond came back from being down 9 after calling a timeout after the first 4 mins of the second half. From that point on, they maintained control of the game and Toledo broke down, scoring 18 points in 16 mins after timeout. Western Kentucky had control throughout the whole game but got comfortable. Had some terrible possessions and shots down the stretch but game-winning FTs by Hollingsworth, and 19+ points from him and Bassey held the Gaels off. Nice two-piece combo. Here are today's picks, includes both NCAA and NIT
Drake -2 (-110) - Drake will be gettin their big, Hemphill, abck. How many minutes he plays is unknown, as he is also coming off the bench. Drake went 6-3 w/o him. Shockers have had a disappointing end of season. I see Drake extremely fired up to get their best player back as well as just simply being in Indy
Michigan St. -2 (-110) - Seems like the world is on Michigan St. Refer back to my Early Picks thread to read the whole writeup. My favorite first round pick
NC St +1 (-110) - Davidson heavily relies on perimeter offense, which failed them in the first round of the A10 tourney. Playing at another neutral site, the result may be more of the same. NC St. has played way past their standards of late, including a 5 game win streak with a win over then #15 UVA, before losing to Syracuse in ACC tourney
Boise St. pk (-110) - The Broncos have been on a 4 game losing streak with losses coming at an avg of 4.4 points. SMU came off a COVID pause and was upset by Cincy in the AAC tourney. Like a competitive game where Broncos outlast Mustangs
Should be all my picks today, I think the 16 seed games are a little harder to gauge. The conferences they're in dilutes the level of play and competition, and straight up, I have never seen those teams play this year or in my life. Gonna be locked in on the last game tonight.. Hope everyone starts out the Big Dance winning some money!
As always, BOL to all!
